Steam boiler design

Currently searching for a steam boiler vessel to feed a large retort, approximately 740 gallons. Not sure, but I hope to have atleast 1/2 of the unit filled with sawdust blocks when running, so that would leave approximately 370 gallons of space to fill with steam. Any idea as to how much water it will take to generate 370 gallons of steam at 15 psi. It's been a while since I've tried to use boyles law, if anyone is a little clearer in the subject, please chime in.

Looked at a couple different monotube designs but just found someone on craigslist with a steam boiler. It's only 100,000 btu so I'm not sure if it will handle our work load as is, but we are considering direct wood fire to try and amp up production.

I wouldn't go with 15 psi unless you have a ton of money to spend. Also, 100,000 BTU won't touch a retort that size, as it would take forever to heat up. I built the wood fired steam boiler pictured below last year. We use it to sterilize up to 100 five pound supplemented sawdust substrate blocks daily, plus it provides steam to a heat exchanger in the intake air duct of our below ground mushroom farm, to preheat the air 24/7 during the winter, and during the daytime all summer to provide a day/night temperature differential.
The first link above gives some construction pictures and text, but I apologize that the page isn't fully finished. We're into our busy construction season again, so it won't have all the pictures up until this winter when I have more time for computer stuff. The boiler operates at 1 to 1.5 psi which is enough to heat our farm and sterilize substrates. We use an 8 hour sterilization cycle in our autoclaves, which are made from 55 gallon drums. We have four of them now, like the one pictured below. There's a lot more pictures in my gallery if you want to take a stroll. RR

I finally got the wood fired boiler page up and running. Before, it was only a few pictures, but now it shows the full construction, heat controls and pressure controls, fire box construction and a wiring diagram and parts list for the electrical parts. RR
