Alright, so I've put a layer of fat on my midsection over the winter/spring. Now that school is over I'm looking to get back to the gym hard, and hoping to lose that fat. There's a ton of cutting supplements out there...but it's hard to weed through the bullshit, and it's hard to tell which reviews are legit & which are company-sponsored. I was hoping that some of you might have some experiences to share.

DNP for fat loss is by FAR the king, nothing comes close to touching it. But it's results come at a price, which is feeling like a human furnace while you're on it. But you can expect to lose literally a pound a day, all fat and minimal to no muscle loss.

I like cellucor products for fat burners I have used them and have seen my own results so I can vouch for them. D4 thermal shock is a good one also super HD their new one has a lot of hype but I have yet to test it extensively myself. Fat burners work but you also have to workout with them as well u can't take them and expect the fat to drop right off they will help you lose it quicker and even inhibit the fat storing process to some degree once you taking them daily.

Right on, I'll have to give those a try. Thanks.
I should probably clarify that it's not a ton of fat. I'm around 165, I just want to get shredded....and some of that 165 is fat around my abs. It's gotten noticeable to me, so..........nip 'er in the bud.

Have you ran DNP before? I am somewhat aware of it. To be honest it does sound somewhat appealing effect wise, it just seems really harsh on the body(chemically speaking) and crazy sides. I have had a few buddies run clen with good results, but even the side effects of that seem too much for the final result. I would rather take albuterol from what i've researched about it if going down that route. Now I'm just taking EC at a low dose with intense weight sessions and no cardio( EC is 1/8 normal recommended dose due to my insane sensitivy to stims)for fat loss and it seems to be doing the trick, only a month into cutting and seeing good progress. I'm contemplating on maybe trying albut though after I reach low enough bf with the EC, from what i've read clen/albut are best suited for cutting below 10% I'm on pretty much a keto diet with minimal carbs (some oatmeal in the morning, and sweet potato with post WO meal) Thoughts on this Frylock?

Yeah I'll admit it sucks hard to be on DNP for a lot of people, it's not the most pleasant thing for me either, but I can deal with it pretty well. Basically I feel like I'm running a fever without being sick, and I sweat a lot, and my sweat smells repulsive. But the thing is you only do a couple week cycles, and it's anti catabolic unlike clen and albuterol. But obviously it seems it's only for people who really need to lose it in time, like people that compete etc. But I've used it once, only because I can be super impatient at times.
But if you're doing good at what you're doing right now then good job keep it up bro!

I'm just dieting and lifting heavy, if I do any cardio it's pulling a sled or flipping a tire. The fat's coming off pretty easy and I've only lost a tiny bit of strength. I don't compete or have a time frame to get to a certain body fat percentage, so I really have no use for supplements.

EC is the way to go in my opinion... I always get really good results.
gives you real intensity and focus during your workouts as well... just drink lots of water because you'll sweat like a fucking pig.
if I take it for too long though, I start to feel constantly strung out and lack motivation to do pretty much anything for about a week after I stop.

that's me all peebee'd out for the time being I think, unless I can pull a squat PB out my ass after more than a month of not squatting. (possible, but not likely) also, I'm a little "huskier" than I'd like at the moment, what with the summer only a month and a half away. need to look good for those 3 weeks, right?

Champ, do you use any supps? Or is that hard work and dicipline? Your making great gains for someone past their physiological "peak"... Or you just produce a fuck ton of test naturally...

You say it like it's either one or the other. TBH it's none of the above. I don't use supps, not even protein shakes, I don't work very hard (meaning I could work a lot harder, not that what I do is easy) and discipline doesn't come into it. I lift because I enjoy lifting, I don't "make myself" do anything I don't want to, or stop myself doing stuff I do want to, for the the sake of "discipline". what I do do, and have done for 8 years now, is lift heavy weights on a regular basis. when you look at the weights I'm moving in terms of 8 years progress, I'm not doing that great, TBH...
but hey, I'm having fun, and I'm stronger than 95% of the population of the world*, so it's all good.

So:
what happens when you continue working out, but cut your calories below normal levels? I'm in dire need of fitting in my work clothes again.
will i lose lots of muscle? how about strength?

Don't overtrain and keep your protein up and you should see minimal strength/muscle loss. Depends on the person though ultimately.

I agree with this. I have done pretty extreme caloric deficits where I continue lifting and supplement lots of protein with no noticeable mass/strength loss. I retain and build mass much more easily than most people though.

I think it's the opposite about the fat/muscle ratio. Fat is harder to burn (9kcal) than protein (4kcal). I'd suggest keep doing what you're doing, but implement cardio at least 20 minutes a day. You'll start to burn off fat and keep your strength. Once I'm off this injury shit I'm gonna start running. Haven't been to the gym in 2 months, and I hate it bigger than shit.

I'm doing my best to eat a lot of small meals every day (5), doing cardio every day -- nothing too intense -- and doing heavy weights 2/3 times a week.
for example: today after work while I was watching some battlestar galactica (watching the full series while my girl is away for a month), I did pushups, jumped rope, did jumping jacks, and one-armed swings with a light kettlebell (35lb).
Nothing strenuous - but kept my heart rate up for an hour or so. My meals have been something like this:
Breakfast: ~9:30am,banana and straberries Lunch1: ~noon, A few pieces of tofu and a few tablespoons of white rice Lunch2: ~2:30pm, small tuna sandwich Dinner1: 6:30pm, small wrap (tuna/chicken) Dinner 2: 8:45/9:00pm, bowl of lentil soup
Trying to keep them small and spaced out. I've heard this is clutch, as if you just eat standard 3 meals/day but CUT their size, then your body will go into "starvation" mode and slow its metabolism markedly.
not sure how viable all that information is - but it came from a coworker of mine who has been pretty exercise-conscious for the past half-decade: played LAX in college, and just made a european national lacross team
