ive heard of people having good sucess using contamed cakes outdoor. as far as increasing the chances of sucess?? not sure, if contams already there, its probally best to just use them and let nature takes its course, cause i mean, what else can u do with a bunch of contamed cakes?

Man, it's hard going there on the east coast, with all them broken shovels and stuff...

The way I see it, three things can happen with several strains in one hole:
1. Nothing happens at all, because the conditions aren't fit for cubensis.
2. The cakes colonize available soil and fruit happily next to each other.
3. One strain colonizes everything in its vicinity, including the other cakes.

I think it's worthwile to dig several holes, just to spread the risk so to speak.

I've heard that when using contaminated cakes, it can be a good idea to cut of the contaminated sections, and give the cakes a quick bath in a peroxide solution. I've never tried this, but others seem to have better success with this method.
