whats the deal???

I know on the shroomery it says liberty caps grow in NY but i heard different.so do they, does any1 have proof? and if they do dont say specific location but tell me in what part of NY

Hi showcivic17,

I am going to guess they grow in the northeastern section of New York state..up there in the Andriondack (sp.?)mountains.

I would also speculate that the liberty cap could also be found in the northern reaches of New Hampshire and Vermont, and chances of finding the liberty cap increase as you head northeast through the state of Maine. Northern Maine must have liberty caps.. Nova Scotia does.

I think there was a report of libs being found as far south as Virginia. I don't think it was ever verified though. Kind of like the Kentucky cyans, of which we've not heard  any new info on those since the one time.
There's magic in NY. Just keep looking, be patient, and maybe you'll hit the motherlode  :smile:

Redbone found them in New York (upper) they are on deposit somewhere inthe stste. i posted this information four years ago or so and would seriously havve to sdig through my files to find out where they were.
