Easy Tub Liner Tek

The Easy Tub Liner TekI was making a liner for a mono-tub the other day and it was kind of a pain in the ass. After fumbling through it, I realized if I had a mold of a tub it would be way easier. Well I do have a mold of a tub....one of my tubs I don't use any more!!! All my tubs are the same kind, so this works perfectly. I just cut the bottom 4 inches off an extra SGFC I had and now I have my mold. Here's a simple write-up with some pictures for those who are more visual. I did my research and found some good write-ups on how easy it really is, so I thought I would add to whats already been said...but with pictures!!! Here's the supplies... Place the mold in the bag... Cut the bag at the top of the mold... Now you have a perfect liner, only a few pieces of tape to hold it in place... And here's the tub... An extra bonus to having this mold, you can use it to hold down your sub when you dunk!!!

Cool tek. I cover my substrate with the excess bag to trap CO2 gases for colonization.
I might give it a try though

It works like a champ!!! It's the second best best thing I've invested in this hobby...the first, a PC.

Excellent. I've got a bunch of 55 quart SGFCs that I'm now using as MSGs in a greenhouse. This will save a load of hassle. (I'm worried about the bottom holes becoming contam traps.)
Thanks:)

I wouldn't worry to much about the bottom holes, just double up on the tape and sterilize the tubs real good.

That's not a bad idea. A slightly more economical way to go about having a nice neat liner, if you have more than one tub, can be found here.

I always just dump my spawn and bulk into a large trash bag, mix in there, then put the whole damn thing into the tub. You can use the fold of the bag to even out your substrate. When it comes time to fruit, just cut the bag off.
