Yes, spending $800+ billion in Iraq was the best use of that money.
So we should have just ignored what Saddam was doing, the invasion of Kuwait and not bother enforcing the contract? Let's just say I accept your premise that it was a waste of my money to invade Iraq. I still don't want to buy you anything. I would want my tax money back.
Saddam was invading Kuwait again? Seems like that tidbit would have put a lot of the anti-war criticism in the media to rest.
Wonder why they never mentioned it over the span of 8 years...
Perhaps we should invade North Korea too, a country whom we are technically still at war with. Who knows when they might violate the cease fire..
And while we're at it, we can take on Mexico and the UK, those bastards might try to start landgrabbing again.
There's an institution the world has set up to maintain diplomacy and peace, its called the UN. And even though it's terribly ineffective, its not the United States' job to take up the slack, especially when we already pay for HALF of the UN's budget.

Yeah, strategic if you have a conventional military and don't have nukes. Anyone with nukes already can hold the world hostage. Also, they are 100% unstrategic unless you actually plan on taking and holding, with a conventional army, countries in that area. We could get a lot more bang for our buck by invading Canada, Mexico, and Cuba. Yet we choose not to because people think Afghanistan fucking matters when it doesn't.

Why was there a surrender agreement in place? That is the contract I referred to. Are you going to ignore it or not? If you ignore it then no treaty means anything.Quote:

Do they have surrender agreements in place that they are violating?Quote:

I agree we are paying too much of their budget.

I'm saying he's got too many expensive war toys that he makes excuses to use on street thugs who could be handled way better with much less collateral damage.
