The Perils of hunting: 1

I would like to say first , If you have a good place close to home , keep it a secret .
Last weekend I was spurred into taking a roadtrip to Ms. for a hunt. There were 2 major factors influencing this . 1. I was nice enough to share a place here with a friend & He has been wearing it out. 2. Pics posted by other Shroomerites here.
Me & My girl ride to Ms. early in the morning. I plan on staying in the guest house at my mothers. We get there about 2 am & it is raining. I get up early & go to the main house to visit Moms. I drink a couple of cups of coffee & tell her I have to get off to work. " Work?" She says. Yes , I tell her , I have to go hunting for some Mushies. " Get the fuck out!" Ok , I see the honesty thing goes nowhere with her. So I go wake my girl up & tell her we are being ousted. Waking her up is like waking up a lion. You have to poke her with a stick & run like hell.
Anyway , we pack up everything & head to my Favorite pasture about 3 blocks away. To my Chagrin , after my girl runs us into a ditch , I find out there are no cows in the pasture any longer. Bummer!
Well we are off in search of new pastures & decide its time to go looking. It takes us about 30-45 minutes to locate a new pasture. I have her drop me off to scope out its potential. I jump the fence & notice a single wire hanging circling inside the Barbed wire. I make a mental note & climb under it . I make a mad dash for the treeline , ( Where you are most likely to make a find). I am running through the treeline & I notice a small blue truck buzzing up & down the street. It has no muffler & is quite loud. It rides past the treeline & stops by the gate. I can no longer see it , but I hear it. Sweat drips from me as I am worried about getting caught. Finally it takes off again. I make a dash back to the fence , forgetting all about the single wire I collide into it getting a Jolt of electricity across the knee caps. It knocks me to the ground, I am laying there in the grass , alongside a cow-patty. Bugs crawling on me. Out of breath thinking,.....Damn I feel alive! I think about trying that again & decide against it. Lol! I hop the fence & start walking ..... I hear the truck coming up behind me. At this moment I didn't care. Some yokels ride past & rubberneck , I know they are wondering where I came from & what I was doing on this lonely stretch of road in the middle of nowhere. Fuque it. I finally see my girls car round the corner & after walking a 1/4 mile it is a welcome site.
Pastue 3: After what seems like about a 30 mile ride we find another pastue. It looks promising. I can see mushies from the road. But it is in the wide open. I decide to look anyway. I jump the wobbly fence & run to the mushies. To my dismay they appear to be Panaeolus campanulatus. Not the right one , but a good indicator that I'm in the right place. I take about 2 steps , look down & see a nice big fat Cube at my feet. I pull out the scissors , clip it & jump the fence ( Your fence jumping skills are a must to be a good hunter). Jump in trhe car & say , Lets Go!
~ Finish later~ Read about my encounter with the Farmer!!!!

Psilocybe cubensis fruits from four to six weeks in decomposing manure. Once the manure has decomposed there are no more moushrooms so a year later doesn't mean shit. Now if they were liberty caps they would still come up in the rang grasses for a few years after cattle have been removed, but if they are dung mushrooms, 6-8 weeks after the last shit is the end of the shrooms. Especially if the cattle were removed form the field the year before. And yes 2Experimental, You do have to have cows in the field to have cow poo. mj

You shouold wriote and save the story in word and then post it. That way you would lose nothing by saving every ten minutes or so. I lost important research for not continous savings.
