Does anyone have any idea how one would go about joining the Native American Church or getting a license to grow peyote for them? There seems to be zero info about it except that it exists

i've found some...
To become a member of the native american church of utah you must:
"be a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe, Nation, or Community of Indians, and present either a Certificate Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) or Tribal Membership Card with a Valid Roll Number. Photocopies are NOT acceptable. You must also provide at least two other forms of identification, and one of them must be a photo ID.. Membership in the Utah NAC for Indians is for life and is non-revocable. Indians can request to be voluntarily removed from the church rolls of the Utah NAC, or can request to be transferred to another NAC branch, or Christian Church. Such a request must be submitted in writing to the Utah NAC, at which time the Utah NAC will cancel or transfer your membership. There is no blood quantum restriction of any kind related to membership in the Utah NAC for Indians or Indian descendants."
This is a universal standard i believe.

Damn! So even in Florida I cant join? Fucking BS government.
Well I guess I could still get a license to produce it for them...and use abit myself hehe. It would be nice if those laws worked for mescaline also, its be alot safer extracting it then. I think indians might like that better anyways, atleast the new generation

jonathan ott (& perhaps others) have speculated that it might be a good idea for some of the south american indigenous cactus users to contact the usa/canada NAC folks about each others ceremonies, and maybe even having NAC permit cultivating & using sanpedro cactus as an additional sacrament (quicker growing, and not an endangered species...)

Doesn't matter where, do you have native american blood in ya?

huh?

I doubt it, the point of the ceremonies is to incorporate the cactus itself. It's almost like a deity, consider christianity, the new generation, forgetting about jesus and just drinking bread and wine, or even so, extracting the saccharides outta sugar and distilling the wine.

There is a license you can get to grow peyote. Then you're suppost to supply the natives with it. This is what I'm talking about.

I believe you gotta be affiliated with the church. As in a bonafied indian and member and then you get the license to produce it. If such a thing exists.

How much Native American do you have to have? I have about 1/16 Sioux in my blood. I doubt that is enough, but I do look like an "Indian."

if i got sick, and needed a heart transplant, and got one from a dead indian, and i clamed that i am the soul of him, that the mind was in the heart... well if THATS the beleif, then thr government HAS to respect that, as if beleived (since this deals with religon), it would qualify you as that dead indian. and therefore you are them under his birth certifcate (put a picture of a human heart on your drivers license) then you could eat peyote and feel the heart of the native peoples beating.

Send in 50 bucks to the first link to become a member. They dont discriminate against non indians, its your right to be a member.
Then fax your certificate they sendyou to the second link. Xoch will look at it and send you your buttons. The package will be labeled "religious document inside" for customs BS. you should have your buttons in about 2 weeks

Is the Peyote Way Church of God different from the Native American Church? I have already said that I have some Native American in me, but how do I go about joining the Sioux Nation? I would personally rather join the Native American Church, is there a web site?

I dunno, I just know that anyone can join peyote way, and its accepted by most all vendors as a legit certificate. Search google for sioux nation. I believe there are only a few legal churches who can practice this ritual...

What I don't get is that there is no blood quatum restrictions for joining the NAC, but many Native American tribes have a bq limit. Oh, and my grandmother told me that I have Cherokee blood. Plus you have to be able to prove your ancestors were Native Am by showing that they had some sort of "tribal card" given between 1899-1906. It also says that many descendants of the Cherokee Nation cannot become members because their ancestors did not enroll in the "official" tribe. I actually think it is a bunch of crap that our government forces them to do. Oh well, it is much easier to join Peyote Way Church of God.

The stuff is legal up here in Canada. Not that it's any easier to find. But I haven't really put my mind into looking for it.
You can buy pods for an outrageopus price from a certain canadian headshop. I think they sell the full cacti aswell now, not sure though.
But of course, they can't sell that chit across the border

Man, what do you want peyote for? You have to kill some old assed buttons +20 total years between them, as opposed to a few feet of totally legal san pedro centers....
