how to DEFINATELY tell cobweb mold

ok. how can i tell for sure if it is cobweb mold and not mycelium. i looked at the pics on the faq and it looks similar i guess however, in my brf jars i can not tell for sure....

Let it grow for a day or two. If it is cobweb, it will grow like mad and become very obvious... cobweb is darker than cubensis mycelium... more of a grey than a white...

Are you looking at a casing or at jars or something else?

Once you have seen cobweb, it is very easy to tell the difference. Regular cubensis mycelium can look an awful lot like cobweb until you know what to look for.

well...it didnt grow like mad however it is poking up through the top of the verm.
i am using a pf tek with brf. it looks very white however, is some places it looks kind of translucent. where could i get some pics of cobweb in a pftek jar?

Look at http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23418 for some good examples. The far top right picture in the cobweb set is probably the best example.
