Creep & S. Afr in BRF, Spawn to Poo, cased 50/50
Skippy has hyphal knots, and some are developed to primordium.
1) Should he cold dunk the casing over night to speed up pinning? Or wrap it and just put in fridge? Leave it alone? Also
Some casing are shrinking a little bit. He heard of watering. They do get misted by a Ultrasonic Humidifier and stay at 96% RH, so he is wondering why the slight shrinkage.
2)Should he pour a little into the sides of the tins?

The casing will shrink slightly because the myc and mushrooms that grow absorb water and nutrients in the substrate and casing layers. The missing water and nutrients is why the casing is smaller. To water just spray sides of container or take a 3 cc or 10 cc syringe and fill with water attach an 18 guage needle and push till needle tip touches bottom and inject water. This way you can control exactly how much water goes exactly where in your casing.

Klingon's right but you want to be careful that you don't inject soo much water that your mycellium doesn't sit in it. I'm pretty sure when it comes to mycellium that it ALL will shrink to some degree. I personally don't have any experience with poo but when a foaf see's his coco/verm casing pulling away from the edge he 'spoons' some extra along the sides to seal in the casing. As long as what you are adding is pastureized/sterilized like how the rest of the casing layer was prepared it should be cool. When the casing layer pulls from the side of the casing container it opens up room for contams to 'possibly' get a straight shot to your healthy mycellial network. Covering these spots as the casing layer shrinks away is one way of preventing this.IMHO Other than that looks like you are going to have some fun when those finish fruiting. All I can say is AIR EXCHANGE AIR EXCHANGE AIR EXCHANGE!! It sounds like youre RH is looking good just need more O2. Once again .....IMHO BTW my friends use the EXACT same aluminum bread pan for there Creepers!!
