Today I went shroom hunting in the woods near my house. There is a large soccer field, and a large wooded area with trails. I found 2 kinds of mushrooms growing, one only in the soccer field and pure white ones that were found only in the woods but almost everywhere. I looked at all the active mushroom faq listed here but none look like mine. heres some pics. The one on the left is the wood area one. Its has a white cap, white gills, white stock and if there is any spores I cant see them so I guess there white too. The one on the right is the scoccer field one. It has a white/greish top, white stock, and almost black underside. Again I couldnt get any spores out of it after leaving it on paper for 5 hours.

The one on the left is an amanita. Most likely poisonous.

Making a *very* crude guess, the left one looks like an Amanita of some sort, and the other is maybe an Agaricus.

The possible Amanita is all white, so it is potentially deadly poisonous. DO NOT EAT.

Agaricus includes both edible and poisonous species, and they are difficult to identify to species.

If you want an accurate identification you need to give us a detailed description. The better your description is, the more likely we'll be able to accurately identify the mushroom.

Happy mushrooming!

Happy mushrooming!
