More mycobag questions

So today I received my package of 6 mycobags. I'm hoping I get my spores by saturday so I can this show of "waiting" on the road.
1. I opened the box up to inspect the package and at first touched one of them on the filter when unrolling it with an ungloved hand. Will this lead to contam city or am I right to assume that most contamination with the bags come from poor inoculating procedures? The second time I inspected them for cuts I wore gloves and used alcohol wipes on the surface of my desk and on my gloves.
2. I noticed when I unrolled the bags that the tops with the filter patches don't stay standing up very well. I was going to store them on some boxes in a closet, but now I'm wondering what to do if they don't get good enough GE that way. Should I just clip them on to coat hangers in the closet and do it that way so there unraveled? I'm debating doing mini mono's and if I just fruit invitro I'll pry do this, but just wondering on the colonization stage.
Well those were my only questions about the start of this procedure. I tried to use the search bar so I wouldn't have to post, but couldn't find anything from there. Well thanks for the help.
P.S. #3 on a side note I was wondering if the syringes should be sterilized by a flame or if wiping it with an alcohol wipe is sufficient.

1. Shouldn't be an issue, just dont make a habit of doing this..
2. Your GE will be fine without the bag standing straight up.. I use bags and roll the whole thing up after knock up and let it sit for a month or so before even attempting to unroll it..
3. Flame then alcohol, thats how I do it everytime between every bag, no problems..

Flame, expel a drop, inject. Don't wipe a needle with alcohol.

(Outsmoker) On 1 and 3. But for 2, I wouldn't roll the bag up because you need proper GE for colonization. And don't forget that the bags need indirect light. 12 on / 12 off.

When there colonizing I plan on giving them a 12/12 light cycle from a 6500k bulb pointed at the wall to provide ambient lighting, and than giving them direct light when its time to fruit. I read somewhere that they should be in total darkness for the first 12 hours, is this true or is this to old info.

Some light might be helpful. Not really needed. Avoid bright direct light but some ambient light on a shelf is ok.

So you would suggest ambient light even during the fruiting stage? IF this is the case than I'll just leave my light point the wall still on a 12/12 schedule.

I dont have room to put everything in the light all the time.. my bags sit in a closet, rolled up, with no light for about 30 days depending on colonization times, what my plans are, etc.. and always perform fine!!
During fruiting my tubs only recieve ambient light from a window they sit infornt of with blinds drawn... Hasnt failed me yet!!

No, I don't recommend lighting your bags during colonization. Some light might be helpful, but it's not needed. Put them somewhere safe is my recommendation.
