Mini Mono Questions

So after alot of reading about fruiting my mycobags I've come to the conclusion that I would have a much better yield if I spawned to monotubs. I'm going to be using 2 different strains so I'm going to spawn to 2 seperate mini mono tubs. I just had a few questions:
1. I'm going to use Damion5050's coir tek and split the recipe in half and fill both tubs. When reading this there was no mention of having to PC any of the materials. Is the correct? It would be beneficial since I don't own a PC.
2. For the MiniMono Tubs what do you prefer? The original style or the shotgun style. In Doc T's MiniMono Tek he never had to fan it just mist it twice a day. Is this something that only can be done with the shotgun style? Also if I used RR's wax paper technique to would these steps make misting and fanning unnecessary?
3. I have 6 1 lb mad bags coming and I've read differing amounts about a 1 lb bag coming out to between 2 cups and a quart. So that would give me between 1.5 quarts and 3 quarts if I use 3 bags per tubs. Would this be enough spawn even if it only came out to 1.5 quarts of spawn for half brick of coir and a quart of verm.
Thank you for the replies. This is my first grow, after this I plan on keep using the mini-monos, but instead of using bags just buy some quart jars and make my own

I Believe you should still pasteurize your coir and verm, pc'ing is not needed for bulk substrate. I would still fan even though he might have not, but making sure you keep humidity up. If your trying to get big meaty mushrooms you will want to make a deep substrate like 3-4 inches. if your going for alot of small ones, you will want more surface area. For the ratio 1;3 or 1;2 is prefered but you can go up to 1:5 and still have success. the smaller the ratio ie 1:10 the more at risk you are of contams and the longer it will take.

The Damion5050 tek includes some pasteurization when you pour the boiling water over the brick in a bucket. Keep the bucket covered and let it sit for a few hours or overnight. Then it's ready to mix with your sub in the monotub.
For the bags, just use your eye. If you want a 1:1 ratio, the volume of the bags you use should match the volume of the coir you're using. Just approximate what looks right. If you have a lot more coir than bag, you'll run into trouble, but if it looks around 1:2, you should be fine.
Both the shotgun style and the original method will work, but I prefer the original because you can more easily adjust your humidity levels vs. FAE by changing the polyfill packing. I think this makes it a more robust tek because it can be adjusted for each climate it is used in, but that's simply my speculation. It makes sense to me, but YMMV.

Bucket prep is ok for coir and verm, but true pasteurization is better for all substrates and required for manure, straw, or coffee. Don't fan hybrid MSG tubs, there's no need. You could have an oscillating fan on a timer in the room, not pointed at the tubs.
As for adjusting the polyfil to different climates- yeah, I couldn't get it to work right here, that's why I came up with a new design. Lots of people have good results with those though. Try both ways and see which is better for you is a probably the best advice.
But I think if you scroll back through some posts you'll see that on average, more people have more problems with classic polyfil monotubs. Hybrid MSG tubs seem to give consistently good results, no matter the experience level of the user.
May not really be true, I read with a biased eye.
