Air Pump Question
    #1620248 - 06/09/03 08:47 AM (20 years, 8 months ago)

MY friend just made a box w/ a filter on the lid for his air pump. The box will be in a bigger box w/ the terrarium.

His question is if the bigger box is almost air tight will the air pump get enough air when he checks on them daily.  Should he drill holes in the bigger box and put a filter over the holes?  He is trying to be a stealth as possible

the air should just be able to circulate within the larger box. BUT it's defeating the purpose. You are trying to replace CO2, if you are just circulating air between a terrarium and a box around the terraruim it wont do much. Depending on the size of the outside box you can still do this and then just fan out the box as needed.

thanks,
so if he just fans the outside box out a few times a day there should be enough air for the air pump to draw air.  The air pump isn't inside the terrarium its next to it but both are in a bigger box ( tv stand )
