Adding amino acids to substrate
    #16206261 - 05/09/12 06:32 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Is it possible that one could add supplements to the spawn media in order to make the mushrooms healthier and more potent? The main thing that comes to mind is Tryptophan which is the amino acid that Dimethyltryptamine is derived from, what process does the fungus use to make the compounds that we like? For example does it actually convert Tryptophan? Has anyone done any such research or experimented with anything like this?

No. None of us can figure out how you'd measure it, or why you'd bother.
Learn to grow mushrooms and you'll have all you can eat for the rest of your life.

You make it all possible. Doesn't it feel good?
