PC question
    #16200030 - 05/08/12 02:17 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

This is the second time using my PC. The first time was to sterilize some LC's and I followed the instructions....waited till steam escaped vent for 10 minutes, placed rocker weight on, then when it started rocking hard I turnde the heat down to what I thought was a more gentle rock. I only ran it 30 mins.

Now I have read you only want the rocker to rock 1-3 times a min? I have a gas stove and the flame is on the lowest setting and the rocker is rocking way more than that. I don't know what to do? I have about 2 1/2-3 qts of water in it, should I just let it run for the full 90 mins or what?

NO no.
You did it right the first time, you want it to gently rock throughout the cycle.

to simply put it...
Rocking = pressure
pressure = heat
heat = sterilization.

Ah good man, I was reading through different teks and came across a couple posts saying that the rocker weight should only rock periodically, and I started freaking cause it's either rocking or not. There is no in between lol. Thanks man maybe now I can relax a little bit.
