Hi All. recently I was reading about using coffee in growing shrooms. I decided to try, so I did. good ol' pf cakes, instead of just water, I used weak coffee [no coffee grounds] and a bit of honey. half of the cakes were prepared with coffee/honey, another half - just water. in the beggining, coffee cakes colonized much faster, I would say 30% faster than normal cakes, but after it reached about 70%, coffee ones dramatically slowed down, and normal cakes became winers - they are allready fully colonized, and coffee guys are just about to reach that level in few days. difference is about 6-7 days.
any thoughts, why did it happen? shrooms are cubes cambodians, inoculated with multispore, incubation conditions are the same for all cakes. thanks for opinions

probably because the coffee cakes were all jacked up on caffeine and the other ones were sober...that actually correlates if you think about it lol
