Hey Folks,
This is a mini-monotub of 1.5 quart Amazon MS on Rye spawned to Coir/Verm as per Damon5050's tek.
April 12: Colonized jar and spawn day

A jar of P. Cyan which has since been g2g'd and spread on woodchips. More on that later.

April 19: Monotub incubated for a week and put into fruiting

April 30: Pins!

May 2: My First nice set

May 3: Coming up strong

May 6: Harvest Day

Was away all weekend and got back to the spore load dump later than would have liked but oh well. How soon can one expect a second flush?
Now into Agar work using the grocery tek with Texan, Pink Buffalo, and more Amazon!

I usually harvest a second flush in about 6 days or so I think.

Looks amazing man! That is a pretty nice pin-set you got there. Any idea on yield? Can't what to see the cyans coming. Keep us updated. Oh, I don't see any holes in your tub. Don't you need holes for FAE? From what I have seen, most use holes filled with polyfill just above the substrate.
Thanks for sharing.

it might be a double tub and he could have the whole in the top tub
either way it worked but i would still add some holes right above the top of the sub

I thought that too, but then I saw the pic with the lid on it, I wondered. Maybe that was just for colonization? Perhaps he is just fanning like 50 times a day, lol. Either way, it's working. From what I read, more FAE can't hurt at this stage.

Fanning was done as often as possible. No holes were put in the tub. The lid was cracked for most of the fruiting time, but it did take awhile before I saw pins, probably just anticipation.
@TheBot0nist: 15g cracker dry on first flush. Currently colonizing 4 smaller tubs of aspen shavings with the Ps. Cyan Myc. Will spawn that to larger woodchips when ready with pix soon
For the tub in the pics above, what is a good number of holes? SG buckshot style or 4 big bores stuffed with polyfill?
@Dazed Belief: Interesting about lack of FAE causing fluffy myc growth on mush feet. Will have to modify setup for moar FAE and continue learning.
Extra spawn to coir/verm mix. Substrate is 2.5 inches thick, came out with some nice fruits in this container covered by tinfoil with 10 pencil sized holes.

Thanks fellow Shroomerites!

heres a good double tub tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/4323984/an/0/page/0 adding holes will help you speed up the pinning more Fea will cause your evaporation and evaporation is help pinning just gotta watch ur RH
2.5-3 inches is what i spawn to it seems to have better and more fruits then 4in
and nice job with everything man
