I have had this p.e. cake in my f.c. for about a couple weeks now. I noticed some bluing in the beginning but it seems to be getting a little darker. This is my first grow so I'm having trouble identifying the difference between simple bruising and contamination. I figure'd you guys could help me out a little bit.
check it out.

let me know what you guys think. Thank you!

ok, i will try that. THe other 4 cakes look fine. They even seem moist too the touch. I don't want to be misting too much but it looks like the p.e. cakes need it. Why would the p.e. cakes be much dryer than my burma/mazatapec cakes? They were all dunked for 24 hours originally?
Maybe the p.e. requires more water than the others? Should I mist directly over the p.e. cakes if the others seem to have enough water?
Thanks

That looks too widespread to be bruising. It looks like MOLD to me. I'd isolate that thing somewhere. Maybe outside. I hope I am wrong. But my opinion is further buttressed by the fact it's been in fruiting for two weeks and this is all you have for pins. Wish you luck, no matter.

does mold brush off when running under cold water? I dunked this cake and my other p.e. cake for a little over 24 hours yesterday. I rolled in vermiculite so hopefully it will keep a little moister this time. I'm hoping that it is just really bad bruising from lack of moisture.
I guess I will know if it is getting any worse in a couple days. I don't think its trich because it seems like it would be a brighter shade of green if it was that. But, alas, this is my first grow.
