We have another huge storm coming our way  :cool: I dont really know exactually how long it takes for a substanial fruiting after a 2 month long drougt like we have had....My guess would be about 2 weeks? maybe MJ or Mr Mushrooms would know for shure...Anyway im gonna find my skeeter spray,  rubber boots an camera....its been a long time coming :smirk:

im not sure about psilocybe, but i would think they should start fruiting right away after the rains. other mushrooms do this.

I dont know if any mycellium could survive very good when subjected to a 2 month long dry spell...Like i said earlier maybe one of our experts can elaborate! :confused:

i went and looked the day after a 3" rain(yesterday) and saw no mushrooms in a feild i know to produce at least some mushrooms(active and nonactive).  i didnt even see those little birdnest funnel mushrooms that are everywhere.  remember the mycellium is alive and all living things need water to stay alive.  it didnt get any for 2 1/2 months i think it will need time to regrow.  but ill be checking anyway :smile:  peace

went out hunting this afternoon on my dads creek (with a gun that is) not expecting to find any mush at all seeing as how it was already above 100*- but I did find manny wilting dried out non-actives probably because of the 2inch rain we received 3 days before.

This sucks really bad and i have an idea and its a good one..We need to start a new post entitled Texas Pain! i went out yesterday after our good rains and all i found was dryed up fungii on old wood...Evidently all the rain was sucked up immediatley therefore all is woe here in Texas ...Gonna start that new thread right now.. :mad:
