Just make the tea instead of the tar  . I hear about more failed attempts from the tar than anything else.
Staring with a 12 to 18 inch cutting of San Pedro..I can go from cutting it up, brewing it, filtering & letting it cool, to in my stomach within 4 hours, if not less. Each time I'm pretty damn satisfied, even caught off guard sometimes, at how strong & how quickly it comes on. I never understood why people say it takes 2+ hours to come on, it does take a while to peak, but I always feel it within 15 minutes after it's in my stomach, then for the next 3 to 4 hours or so it's a continuous surge/climb in intensity.
Don't give up...It's a lovely experience...
