cracked sub and uneven pinset [pics]

I've never had a substrate crack before so I don't know what happened here. There also seems to be a lack of pins near the crack.. anyone know what is going on? This is rye spawned to coir/verm that has been in fruiting for like 12 days.

mist when needed
when misting there should be a a nice glistening over everything

and if that your first flush i would say ur substrate is drying out way to fast
in the third picture its already pulling away from the the side
maybe getting too much fea
try adding more polyfill to the holes so the polyfill ball is thicker

whats your humidity at?

Five to six air exchanges per HOUR is what you're supposed to do, not per day.  Fresh air is the main pinning trigger, more important than any other.  Remove the polyfill from the holes and then mist as required to maintain substrate moisture content.  Make sure you're providing bright light in the daylight spectrum for ten to twelve hours per day.

Substrates crack when you move the tub around.  You should set it on a sheet of plywood or similar so it doesn't bend when you lift the tub.
