Put colonized BRF in fridge or keep in Incubator???
    #1618885 - 06/08/03 07:30 PM (14 years, 11 months ago)

Hey,
The standard PF tek has been followed and everything is going as planned... Except that 4 jars had been colonized and then waited the customary 1 week so that the insides were colonized as well. The remaining jars are just now hitting the full colonization and need to wait one more week for the insides.

I've searched and read that the finished jars can go in fridge...
But will it effect them adversely if I just leave 'em in the incubator while the other ones finish up? How long can they stay in there with no ill effects?
Thank you.

They will be okay in there long enough for the others to catch up.

I have the same problem, one cake colonized superfast and it's been 1 week+ since, but my other cakes are a little farther behind than yours.  I think for you it would be o.k. to leave them in the incubator for a week or 10 days.  (looks like I'm gonna make a 1 cake casing :frown:)
