Are These Metabolites? (Pic) *10-04-12 Update

Hello Friends,
I think I have, what is called, metabolites in one of my jars. I just wanted to confirm with you guys.
It's been colonizing for approx. 18 days (March 13) and I'd guess it's about 80-90% colonized.
Do I need to do anything at this point or keep waiting for full colonization?
Thanks.

That's nothing to worry about.
It looks as if the jar is already colonized and is starting to pin. It seems to happen often when growing PF cakes -- one side of the jar finishes long before the other.

Well, pins started to grow a day after my original post and colonization seemed to have halted at around 90%. I waited until today to see if it would reach 100% colonization, but it didn't. So I decided to open the jar and...Surprise! Cobweb mold! (I assume).

Should I bother trying to put this in my FC? A couple of the few pins on it have kinda a dark blue-ish colour on the base of it.
Is this cake done?

That doesn't seem airy enough for cobweb to me. I think it's mycelium growing up through the vermiculite. However, I'd wait for a more experienced grower to weigh in.

If colonization stopped and it started fruiting, there is still a good chance it ran into some type of contaminate. I do not think it is cobweb, like the others said, the mycelium will grow up through the Verm. But if it is making Metabolites(generally to fight off contamination), stopped colonizing and started fruiting? Again, only guessing, but I bet there is something in there. Still worth trying to fruit though.

You're right, there probably is something in there. It actually stalled even before my I made the original post.. I took a whiff of it, when I opened it this morning, and it didn't smell funky. I'll prepare it for fruiting and see what happens.
Should I remove the pins that look like they're rotting?

Quick update.
So I birthed the jar 5 days ago and it's been pinning since then, very slowly. A few of them look a bit retarded or mutated. I suspect because I didn't give it a full week to consolidate in the jar (today would've been 1 week). Anyone know why some of them look so weird?
I can't remember what strain this is because I forgot to label it. It's either Oak Ridge, Hawaiian or Texas. I'm leaning towards OR though.

That last pic is an AWESOME mutation. I wish some of mine did that.

Thanks brotha. It looks like a mouth opening up, if you see it in person.
But I'm wondering why they're not growing tall like others. They're just growing kinda stumpy.
