P. Tampanensis help

Hey all, I have been trying to get some P. Tampanensis going from a couple year old print and haven't had any luck. I have tried a couple different times using agar, making a syringe, lc, but nothing's working. I now have one antibacterial agar plate that is showing some growth from the divet, but it doesn't look quite right. It is not as white as cubensis mycelia I don't have the ability to post a pic or I would post one. I am wondering if someone could post a pic or two for comparison. I have done a couple searches and can't find many pictures.
Thanks...

Doesn't look like cubensis. Why can't you post pics, no internet where you are?

I only have a iPad and can't upload pics, it just won't let me.
There is about a dime sized circle of growth, it has been about a week at 75 degrees. It seems flatter (less fluffy) than other mycelia I have seen (mostly cubes, wood lovers, and oyster).
I have been trying to get something going with this print for a while and am just praying this is real, but not wanting to get my hopes up.

Sounds like your best bet is to set up a jar and see what you end up with. Pretty hard to ID something we can't see.

Spores on prints can die if stored too dry. Even if they are stored correct, after one year only one spore out of a million will germinate. After a couple of years ...... forget it. I suggest you to buy some new spore syringes, P. tampanensis pajateros and atlantis are a good choice IMO. In case of P.Tampanensis i suggest You to use syringes because it is better to go with LC->Grain.
This will cost you only 10 to 30 bucks and saves time and work.

Yeah, I know. I was just hoping someone had a pic or a link to give me hope.

This is the third thread I've seen recently about tampanesis prints not germinating.
I had some myself. Tried everything. No growth. my last plates have been sitting for two weeks with no growth. Time to give up.
I got mine from a very generous member in a giveaway around Christmas. I'm thinking the prints are just too old, all the spores are dead. I think quite a few people got these same prints.
Tampenesis myc is supposedly a little more wispy than cube, supposedly has sort of a pearlescent sheen to it. I wouldn't know - never saw anything from mine.
Maybe time for a fresh syringe.
Good luck.
