Water won't evaporate

I've been having to stop misting (only mist once a day) because the water droplets on the surface aren't evaporating. I have plenty of FAE (several small holes, no polyfil) and the humidity is around 86%. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? Search feature didn't find me much help. Thanks!

Obviously, you have a made in china hygrometer.
If the water isn't evaporating, your humidity is 99% to 100% and you don't have enough air exchange. I suggest building a shotgun terrarium. RR

You're saying the myc looks bad? Can you elaborate?

Your myc looks bad.
What kind of FC is that? Some sort of hybrid MSG? Can we get an overall shot of it?
How'd you start your jars? Spores? LC? What's the substrate? How much spawn?

Just a mini monotub. Some small holes on one side and larger holes on the top. 2 parts hpoo bulk and 1 part WBS spawn. Brownness on the walls didnt start til recently. Mist/fan once a day. What do you think could be wrong?

Contaminated, plus that's just not going to be an effective FC. Is my guess. How are you starting your WBS jars?
Try drilling one of those tubs shotgun style, with a 1/4" hole every two inches all the way around all five sides. Fill another tub with spawned substrate. Allow to colonize with the lid on, then take it off and put the drilled tub on top for fruiting.

What kind of contam do you think it is? Is this still salvageable? Thanks for the input. I thought it was just metabolites.

I made a few more holes and added a little air pump to blow fresh air through a tube into one of the holes. Hopefully that will help...i'm thinking this whole thing might be due to poor FAE.

It is a fresh air problem, but ditch the aquarium pump. Remove the lid and use it to fan the tub out several times per day at least. The brown on the sides is from drying out and not a real problem, but the mycelium is crawling up the sides due to insufficient fresh air supply.
There appears to be a shit ton of hyphal knots on the surface so you might see some nice pinning soon. Don't do anything rash until you see how it plays out. RR

Thank you so much for this. This is exactly what I thought, its just nice to be backed up on it. Its crazy, but ever since I added more holes and added the air pump just an hour ago, the brownness is already going away and the myc is looking more healthy. I'm feeling much better about everything now.
Why do you say ditch the pump, out of curiosity?

Update: 10 days since birthing and still no signs of pinning. I think I have a cinnamon mold problem. Tub smells funky and there are a few weird myc blobs that have turned brownish but the majority of the tub is still brilliant white.
The biggest problem is I can't seem to get any evaporation. There is no condensation on the sides and the water just sits in droplets on the surface. Some of the water has even become gooey and rubbery. I've been making sure to give it lots of FAE but i'm getting no luck.
I really hope I can get at least one half-decent flush out of this.
