2nd flush gone bad? What's wrong with these guys???

The first flush (PESA) came along just fine. I dunked for 4 hours last Thursday evening and drained overnight. I've been fanning and misting, and occasionally harvesting the ones that needed harvesting. But I haven't seen a "2nd flush bloom" yet. While harvesting, I've noticed some of my fruit bodies are looking rather sickly. Is this too much misting?

How long did you consolidate for the first flush? I can still see dirt - was the first flush good?

Have you been heavily misting the fruits directly? I see a lot of aborts in there.

Also, next time, wait until every inch is white with myc before introducing to fruiting conditions (and if you want REALLY optimal results, wait a week after full colonization to allow for consolidation of your myc network).
Finally, in that third picture, what is that blue/green spot next to the largest fruit body?

1st flush consolidated for 14 days. I went to fruiting when I saw pins. I mist and fan in the morning, and when I get home from work at 5:30, I mist every 2 hours and fan every hour. I figured if I wasn't getting any standing water, and no water pools were collecting in the bottom, then it couldn't be waterlogged, could it?
I am new to tubs. This is my second. My first broke apart after the first flush, so I don't have any experience with how long a 2nd flush takes and what to expect. I just did what I was told. Harvest the big ones and leave the little ones and dunk.
I'll hold off on the misting, but like I said, I give it a 60 second fanning with a huge foam core board every hour.
The first flush was inconsistent. New pins appeared every day. I was harvesting every day for about a week. I honestly couldn't tell when to stop. Yes, it was an MS noc. I haven't made it to agar yet.
What should I do, other than tone down the misting? Should I pic all the aborts off and then wait? What do I do next?

I'd pick the aborts before they rot... beyond that I recon I'd wait and see if a TC pops their head in here with a more reliable perspective.

idk if this is the results of misting, it might be thou. i think this might be from your dunk, did you submerge the substrate or did you let it float?
the pinns you left on might havve been part of the first flush or you have overlaping flushes, maybe they were just to bigg to dunk.
i only replace the water that was lost from the first flush and let the sub float in it, if it doesnt stick to the bottom that is

So, just pick the really dark ones? Is there really that many? How do I know I'm not picking off a pin that will develop into a full body shroom? And I used dowels to keep the sub held down during the dunk. I harvested all the ones that were bigger than 1/2" and left all the pins. Yeah, very uneven pin set.

there's not to many i would cut off with the exception of the 3 larger one in the forground and obviously the 2 that are "unveiled",also pick just the smallest blackest pins, the darker redish caps are still gunna grow IMO.

Last night, those pics were taken right after a misting. Here they are the next morning. Does my problem still look like too much misting? What should I do next? Should I pick off the aborts? Which ones do I pick off and what do I do with them? Are they considered rotten? Not the aborts, I mean. The ugly motherfuckers.

Alright, I guess the best option is to cut everything off and let it sit. I did dunk it a week ago, but I haven't had enough growth to demand another dunk, plus I've been misting too much, apparently. I don't know if these aborts and ugly fuckers are safe to eat, so if I don't hear back by the end of the day from a TC, I'll probably flush them down the drain.
They what? Do I tape back up the holes and wait for more new pins? Keep the poly in and wait for new pins? Do I keep fanning every hour or so while waiting for pins? I would be more upset, but the first flush brought in over 3 oz, and I have another tub of B+ that is set to pin any day, plus another 7 jars of GT ready to spawn when this tub is done.

Don't tape your holes back up. Just leave the polyfil in. And you don't have to fan every hour. Maybe like about four times a day should be good. Your tub should start to recover in about a week or so (maybe even sooner). It just depends on how saturated it is. If you don't see any conatms before your tub gets a chance to come back to life, you should be fine. A quick question for you though. How did you pull off 3 zips on your first flush with all the misting you were doing? And you didn't have any problems then? Your substrate must have been very forgiven the first time around. It's a good thing though that you found out now that you were misting entirely to much. Other wise, your other tubs would of ended up looking like this one. Live and learn

Well, check out the thread...
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/16127728
The beginning of the flush was uneven and tiny fruits. I knew I was giving it enough FAE, so why were the fruits so small? I concluded that there might not be enough moisture, so I amped up my misting. The shrooms grew larger, but that probably would have happened no matter what, I guess. I'll clean off the tub and fan it a few times a day and lay off the misting for the weekend and see what happens. Wish I knew which pins should be left behind and which need to go. Guess I'll take them all off. Throw them away, right?

I think you might have a case of bacterial blotch.. be careful buddy. Check the contamination thread and search bacterial blotch

If its bacterial blotch they are safe to eat when dry. You want to chance a live bacterial infection so be careful
