You can't. Not if you're using spores. You might get lucky, might not. But you can't control it.
Agar technique, on the other hand, gives you complete control over contamination. Grain LC is better than sugar LC from spores. But if the syringe isn't quite clean, your GLC can have a subtle contaminant.
Agar. It's where you want to be.

How long should I expect my halo pints to colonize there not showing signs and they were inoculated with syringe about a week ago ?!? I love the of tech it's been a while and I forgot how long it takes I used about 1 cc each hole times for wholes so four cc's each jar so two jars per syringe maybe that's the problem or do they need air exchange ?!?!

Project said: Or you could check out the Horse Poo Tek in my signature.
I would have done a bulk grow for my first time instead of PF tek if information was better organized on this forum. Sometimes you ask one question and get lots of different answers. All of the information is here to make it so easy, it's just very fragmented.
As far as what I'm doing, I would love to work with agar and get an isolate. Thing is, my first grow hasn't even been harvested yet. If I get some nice mushroom, I'll try to isolate it and then go to G2G. And speaking of G2G, when my next round of jars finishes, I'll probably use a few for G2G with MS genetics. But the iso is definitely what I'm after.
I've got a small monotub and a bulk try colonizing at the moment and waiting 18.5 quarts worth of spawn... It's with a few of those pint jars I'll do some G2G. Then if I get a good mushroom for an isolate, I'll get to working on that.
I already have plenty of spawn on it's way, I'm in no hurry.
I like you. Lol. Too many people give random and different answers to the same question. Or ya got the guys who act like they hate helping us newbies cus it's always the same stuff over and over again. Well of course. If you have 100 issues that can go wrong. It's always going to be ONE OR TWO of those 100 issues. Repeatedly That's common sense that if you help people on here longterm. It's about to start repeating itself. Lol. And the worst is when I ask a question about my mess up and right away they start. WHY DIDNT YOU FOLLOW THE TEK TO THE "T". Obviously I either made a MISTAKE and missed something. Or I wouldn't be here with a problem. Right? And then secondly. Maybe I WANT AMD ENJOY experiments. And maybe I WANT to know what Contams look like so I don't mind failures on the side where it doesn't effect my others. If that's what I enjoy and WANT to do this time. Then so be it. But it seems more people are worried about WHY. Instead of just answering a question to help. I try to talk and make friends to chat with. Not just use you for help also. So if I chat about other things beside growing. Either chat back. Or ignore it. I had someone bitch at me for typing stuff not necessary to the question. Soooo. I wanted to chat too. Lol. But I love it when someone like you actually enjoys helping and likes to chat here too

Wow... quite a ramble there.
4 year old thread dude.

Furthermore, growing contams purposefully so you "know what they look like" is fucking dumb. Wasting time and materials in the age of infinite information is a pitiful shame. You also sound underage.
Also OP was "Last seen: 3 years, 5 months ". So, he probably won't want to chat.

Yeah sorry. I honestly missed the date on it. But yeah I just don't see to many people calling it like it is on here and not even seeming like they like being here. Saying you do if not the same as the way the posts sound and just sounds like you hate helping anymore. There's a ton of those here. Sorry for the ramble. I needed to vent I guess. Hava

Oh and I wasnt seriously saying I was purposely growing them to see what they look like. I just simply meant it Helps to know what they look like. Sorry for the confusion there. Lol. And no I'm not underage. Just a bit tired of the one question and 12 different answers that you so often see
And the many MAYBEs were not to take it literal. I was just more ticked off at some things that people are so quick to judge. But I do also like to experiment with extra stuff on the side seperate from my actuall grow I started. Certain thingas that are still useful to know

Well, venting your rage about some of the more callous personalities here (ahem..) randomly in old threads using disjointed paragraphs is liable to uh.. draw attention, you might say.
Something important to remember is that you cannot fully judge how a person in a certain position acts because you do not know what it's like to be that person. There will be unseen key information about the motives of that person that could change how the situation appears, with no way for you to know of it.
Frustration begets change. And resisting change is how you have a bad time, if you know anything about psychedelics.
If you think the people who are tired of certain questions are unfounded in being frustrated, either get to their level without becoming as callous to prove it's possible, or humor them for 30 seconds and consider why they feel the way they do, possibly empowering yourself in the process.

Very smart. See you are the kind of person I could enjoy chatting with. Honestly I do understand why certain questions and repeat issues get the response they do. But like you said. You also can't judge the others situation because you don't know it. Maybe someone only had 5min on a computer and figured they would have better luck asking here and then next time they get a minute to check the response.
Everyone has a different way of thinking and/or has different ways of doing things. And yeah like I said I honestly didn't see this was an old forum. When I had clicked on the link for it I thought it had a post from today.so I thought it was a newer one
And yes I have some issues I'm trying to deal with and need the actives to help with that. Life has a way of making me into a person I don't like and I need to get back in touch with myself and my spiritual side. I've used them before for this and just think others can benifit also.
