Upsidedown jars during incubation?

Hello,
I was wondering if it was alright to flip the jars upsidedown while they are in the incubator? I saw a guy do it on a site. Just wondering, is that ok. It looks easier to look at them when the bottom is faced up to check for colonizing. Thank you. Matt

I turn my jars upside down towards the end of incubation or if it looks like they are stalled. It is OK to do, but I would start out with them right side up and flip for the last 20%.

No you don't want to flip the jars upside down til you are ready to colonize the bottom of your jars.

Then you would tap the jar to unlodge the cake from the jar...then flip the jar and let the bottom of the cake colonize.
