this is a MS grow. With coir, 1qt coffee 1qt verm. I followed damions5050 bucket tek. I fruited early because i thought it was going to get a contaim becasue my other 7 tubs got the mean green. I know that using coffee with damions5050 tek is not proper. That is what most likely cause the last 7 to contaim. This one survived. So i fruited early to try and at least get a little mush. This is what it looks like now. I over misted about 4 days ago because my cat knocked the tub off the counter and left the lid off for a good cupple hours if you can see how stressed the myc. is. If you have any comments or questions please ask away. Knowlege is key:) I am also only using sunlight or the light from the lights in my room. temp is around 70-75. Im misting and fanning daily about 3 times a day.
This picure was the most updated one

this is a cupple days before the pic above.

here are some i already picked.

I also took a little sub from some of the tibs sections that didnt have the mean green. Made two jars. Here are some fruits just from the jars.
1st jar

2nd jar

It was about 46g wet. 23g for a buddy and i. Def loved the mellow of the b+.

Overall so far Its a horrible grow. Def a learning experience. Im so stoked tho that i have my own mush even if itll be just be enough for a friend and i. Im hoping the second flush after a soak will produce greater. Got some more brewing in the closet tho:) 4 strains this time. excited to start some more agar work also:)

More air, more and brighter light.
Chances are good that your room lights are the wrong color spectrum.
Adding a 6500K cfl would probably boost things along. And take the polyfil out of the holes.

Yea, I bought a florecent light in the right spectrum but it was to be wired in. So I'm returning it today to get a different one. also I would like to know what you can see in there that tells you more  air. I've been messing with the air flow and just recently got rid of the fuzzy feet. I've been reading a pinny strategy guide that goes into detail on each problem and how to fix it.

I've found it helpfull immensly .

Also thanks doc. You've helped me out in a Cupple posts in the past.

Also thanks for the complement! I don't think its to good. But its better then nothing !!!! I'm stoked to get my next tubs out and going

An astonishing lack of pins on a well-colonized substrate.
Fresh Air Exchange is a double pinning trigger:
1) the drop in CO2 compared to colonization conditions,
2) evaporation through the top layer

That tub should have pins from wall to wall, and it doesn't. It needs more light and more importantly, more FAE.

In other words:

oh ok. I thought maybe it was something about the stems, like the fuzzy feet. . But i agree. Ive been laying off the fae beacause my cat knocked it off the table and the lid fell off. idk how long it was off but i have been trying to build the moisture level back up from how dry i felt it got( prob a mistake). when i get home today, ill open her holes up;)and fan often. Is there any signs of to much air exchange? or will the top layer just start looking dry.

How much fresh air is there in a cow pasture on a bright spring morning?
If your tub starts to dry out, wet it. That wetting and evaporating will help with pinning.

So i opened the holes yesterday, there is a fan in the room also. How can i tell if it gets to dry? i feel like the misting and FAE are making it stressed. Its turning yellow and blue.
i did find the below in a thread. Should i really mist that much? it wont be to much stress on it?
also the bruising on the bottom of the stems, is that ok? any input will be greatly appreciated! :mushroom2:

I'd also like to add a recommendation for how much water to mist the tubs with each day:

  • It's pretty much the same thing Hyphae suggests regarding casing pinning strategy:

  • Mist as much water as you possibly can, but without puddles forming.

  • Fan manually with the lid vigorously for 5 seconds before and after misting.

  • Run a small fan near the tub, but pointed in a direction parallel to the tub(s), or straight up in the air if your fan can. (...that's what I do - straight up in the air.)

  • You know you are getting enough air circulation/evaporation if the water on the surface takes ~12 hours to evaporate/absorb away. If it takes longer than that, increase fan speed. If it takes less time, reduce fan speed and/or move fan further away from tub.

After enough pins have formed that you are satisfied with:

  • Re-plug up the hole that has been unplugged.

  • Continue the misting/fanning regiment of 1x a day.

  • Start misting as much as you possibly can. That is - mist to the point of pooling; mist until the surface of the substrate cannot hold any more water; mist until just before water starts running down the sides of the substrate.

  • Continue this procedure until it is time to harvest.

Someone recently told me that if they keep misting like this near full maturity of the fruits that they bruise and get gross-looking. This hasn't ever happened to me though. You'll know if it happens to you this go-around.

:goodluck:

update:
i also found this on pinning.

It says bruising and yellowing is from to much FAE or to much misting. So, should i put the polyfil back in? it looks dry to me.

Blue = too dry. Yep, find the balance.
Turn off the fan is my advice, but loose polyfil might work too.
