Saw Ghost in the Shell last week. I give it 8/10. It has its awesome moments but some parts were plot holes and seemed too good to be true.

But visually, it was incredible. And a real cool storyline to it.

Certainly.  Unforgiven is great in its portrayal ov a more 'honest' western.  Unforeseen circumstance and the reaction to it help forge a more believable story drained ov the typical hero/villain dichotomy.  I'd agree with your 9/10 rating.

The knack...and how to get it(1965)-7/10

What a bizarre movie!  Piccadilly and mod/rocker intrigue led me to this unusual 60s black n' white.  I really liked the slipstream-esque delivery ov the movie, the effects, and practically stooge-like comedic element.  I can see this as being very unique for the time period.  What let it down for me was the terribly annoying protagonist and over-the-top acting ov the main roles.  I can understand the attempts to caricature, but they went too far and it shows.  However, the movie was mostly fun, an interesting look into 60s London, and its slipstream manner ov proceeding is refreshing to see in light ov the time period.  That it seems to me like a 70s effort retrocast in B&W attests to its innovation.

Tai Chi Master (8.5/10)
The storyline was alright -nothing I hadn't seen at one time or another- but the techniques and fighting styles were well executed... at least from the standpoint of my very limited understanding.

New Star Trek films totally miss the point of star trek in my opinion. Trek is about exploring scientific ideas and different philosophies. Not gunning down enemies this isn't star wars

that's my feeling as well, though I'm neither a big star trek or star wars fan, but of the two star trek is superior. Well, the first two star trek's anyways.

Star Wars is pro mysticism and pro militarism. Trek is pro science and mostly about pacifism although they do defend themselves if they have to.
