I only watch 1-3 movies a year if that. I watched the OG Terminator on YouTube a few weeks ago. I've probably seen that move at leats 20 times throughout my life. Classic 8/10

Ok, so I have finally seen this film in it's entirety and I must say it is a much better film than The World's End and would even say that it is funnier then Shaun of the Dead. The supporting cast in this film was much better as well. I think part of the comedy in The World's End was that Nick Frost's character was such a straight-edge dude. Again, I tried to watch this a couple of times 13 years ago and couldn't get into it, but there was a lot of crazy shite going on in my life then so there is no telling what the circumstances were when I was trying to watch it. I must also point out that I not that all in touch with the pulse of the world on the credibility and coolness of movies. I don't even hear about most of them when they come out. I have been "dumpster diving" for so long in the bin of movies past to find B-movie gold that I don't know where it's at anymore. For example, I think I am the only person I know of the enjoyed The Last Jedi...

Rent A Pal A movie about a loner middle aged man who lives in his mother basement. A complete weirdo. Gets crazy towards the end. I liked the movie. Found it accidentally, while browsing Cinema apk. (Have installed it from https://www.firesticktricks.com/cinema-apk-firestick.html if someone is interested). It turned to be an interesting thriller.

This is a very unique film. The plot is slightly far-fetched but could possibly happen in real life, and, for all we know, could have happened multiple times in the past and could be happening somewhere in the world right now. I would love to watch this with a group of millenials and watch them squirm and beg for it to be turned off because they would find it absolutely boring. (writing this idea down on To-Do List) I recommended this movie to my mom, who is a huge Peter Sellers fan and she HATED it.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) 9/10

This turned out to be a completely different movie than I thought it was going to be. It turned out to be a great romantic chick-flick type movie. I am not the biggest fan of Steve Carell, but his performance in this is fantastic, dynamically changing from to gloomed-out sap to fully enlightened individual. This did tug on my heart strings some. And I'm a sucker for films with an unhappy ending.

Being There was based on Jerzy Kosinsky's novel, and he also cowrote the screenplay. I always associate him with his friend Roman Polanski. To my knowledge he didn't do any terrible things which Polanski did, but his work exhibited some brilliance and some repulsiveness. He barely missed being at the house where Polanski's wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson family. There is a controversy over his most important book, The Painted Bird, first whether he personally experienced those things as a child during the war, and second whether he actually wrote the book. He also appeared as Bolshevik Gregory Zinoviev in Warren Beatty's movie Reds.

Terror Firmer (1999)
My favorite Troma movie. Lloyd Kaufman plays a blind director who just wants to get his low budget movie made. Good effects, funny, it has Ron Jeremy before he was a criminal playing a sick fuck. Lemmy, from Motorhead, is in too. 9/10

The Blob (1988) 10/10

I can't believe that this was the first time I saw this film. How did I sleep on this for so long? I saw the original from the 50s that starred Steve McQueen many times as a child but this exceeded my expectations. The effects were exceptional for coming out in this time period, John Carpenter level, even. It is a very well put together movie that is highly entertaining. It like, blew my mind, man...

Assignment Terror (AKA Dracula VS. Frankenstein) (1970) 6/10

This was the perfect movie to veg out to on a Saturday night, just like back in the day as a kid, on one of the old UHF TV stations hosted by some local celebrity or a funny goth chick showing off her large, pale breasts. As far as old-school corn-ball horror, this has it all: aliens, vampires, a mummy, a werewolf and Frankenstein's monster. It was a hoot and a half.

I loved this movie as a youngster. I re-watched it about a year ago and realized that it the movie focused on a supra-bad ass weapon that only gets used once during the whole film? It has great cinematography, score, sets and costuming but is too serious of a film for the mish-mash of genres going on here. I choose to watch Ice Pirates over this.

The Ice Pirates (1984):
“The time is the distant future, where by far the most precious commodity in the galaxy is water. The last surviving water planet was somehow removed to the unreachable centre of the galaxy at the end of the galactic trade wars. The galaxy is ruled by an evil emperor (John Carradine) presiding over a trade oligarchy that controls all mining and sale of ice from asteroids and comets.”
Very 80s galore…the music, the hair, speech, the attitudes, robots, efx, etc etc. A Star Warsian Han Solo piratesque guy and his team of thieves stealing water and a Princess from the empire who controls all the only remaining water in the galaxy go on an adventure/mission to save…
Cheap thrills n tricks but it’s got some redeeming qualities, I guess . Maybe I’m too jaded and spoiled? Oh well. I took this one as an exercise in studying the cinematography, movie making, culture, acting, and of the industry in general during the 80s…

Pterodactyl Woman from Beverly Hills (1995) 4/10

This isn't by any means a good movie, but there a 3 major things that kept me watching:
1) Brion James looked like he was having so much in this film. Perhaps there were a lot of drugs available on set.
2) The dialog, especially between the 2ndary characters, had a dad-humor quality that made me laugh, especially Stephen McHattie. (You may now him as Crazy Joe Davola's psychiatrist)
3) Beverly D'Angelo, who is such a total babe - and that voice...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pterodactyl_Woman_from_Beverly_Hills
Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn (1983) 5/10

It really surprises me that I didn't discover this one as a kid with as much cable TV surfing I did back then. This movie would been high on my list of fave childhood films. It isn't very good but has some redeeming qualities, most notable being Tim Thomerson. It is 50% Road Warrior, 30% Krull and 20% Star Wars. The protagonist's acting skills are very Viggo Mortensen. I think I would have liked this film slightly more if the role of Jared-Syn had been played by somebody from the music world, like Mick Jagger or David Johansen or Alice Copper maybe even...

Robin Williams: Come Inside My MInd 9/10

This is one of the best put together documentaries I have seen. Most of the speaking throughout is Robin Williams voice. It is a good look into his personal life. It made me want to seek out some of his stand up comedy, which I have never seen before.
