Jurassic World: Dominion 8/10
Wow, what a wild adventure! So many locations in this movie! Lots of suprizes too! Some of the dialog gets really awkward. Lots of cheesy lines throughout. Also some odd points of editing/continuity. Those were the two main drawbacks but the concept, plot, site locations, casting, interactions with the dinosaurs and special effects are pretty damn cool. I recommend tripping/being high for this movie.

I watched the Psychedelic Experience a Manuel based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead. 5/10 its not verry interesting and the old 1965 special effects is terrible. I much preferred the book, but the movie is 20 minutes. Check it out if you want

The Age of Adaline - 10 out of 10 for me. The cast was great, Blake Lively and Michiel Huisman played their roles perfectly. The plot was also were interesting, and I felt the tension all movie

I haven't even seen the first one but my review guy says the new one is much better than the original, almost as if it is what the original should have been.

Lisztomania (1975) 8/10

Holee sheet, this movie! Imagine if Holy Mountain and 200 Motels has an illegitimate love child, that would be this movie. Even Ringo plays The Pope! It is filled with surrealism and plenty of Ken Russell's symbolism and sacrilege and at times I couldn't believe what I was watching. According to people that I know that are well versed in the lives and music of classical composers, Liszt was the first "rock star" and this movie portrays that aspect well. I highly recommend whilst viewing highly.

I love Liztomania, seeing every Ken Russell flick is another of my cinema goals.
Thief (1981) First time viewing, in honor James Caan's passing last week. I'm giving it a 9/10, awesome tangerine dream score, the movie is about a big well planned heist. Violent, and well written I loved it

I also watched Men (2022) which rustled some dude's jimmies because the plot revolves around toxic masculinity. I don't care s much about that, its the ending I didn't like I heard it was reminiscent of The Thing but only really only in visual style, it was kind of empty. It starts out as a kind of folk horror type of film, a women alone in a rural cottage recovering from end of her marriage, but the farther she runs from abusive men, the more horrible dudes she meets. My buddy says its pure man hate, but its directed by a dude. 6/10

Thor - 7.5/10 Short to the point Marvel movie with tons of cameos. Really enjoyed this even tho the Marvel plot needle was barely moved.

Slacker (1990) - 8/10
I actually dug this movie. It's like a series of stream-of-consciousness vignettes. The content was fairly entertaining, but the style of the filmmaking process is what interested me. I could really see where Kevin Smith got the inspiration for Clerks. It made me think Clerks could have been a continuation with the focus switching predominantly to a few characters. In short, I think Rick Linklater did a great job.

The trailer looked interesting. And I'm a big believer in Jessie Buckley, the lead in this. I think she's a fabulous actress.
But yeah, I read a lot of pretty negative reviews. Sure a lot of those are probably people not happy with the toxic masculinity part but many reviews didn't mention anything about that at all, instead they just seemed perplexed by the second half and ending of the film.
Maybe one day I'll get around to watching it.
