Having the same actors in them all doesn't help either.

But to stay on topic, I watched Braveheart and The Ritual again the other day, 8.5 for both.

After being aware of it for many years, I recently saw Repo Man for the first time. I loved it, 9/10

Bubble Boy (2001)
8/10

Hadn't seen this one in quite a while and was one of my daughter's favorite film during her pre-teen era.  I find this movie to be a lot of fun and part of that is because it doesn't take itself too seriously.  Some things worth mentioning that make this movie great are: Danny Trejo, the song "Bright & Shiny" and Fabio as a cult leader.

I just watched "Angel". Cult classic with Robert Preston as a drag queen, and almost everyone in it was some sort of famous later on.

Just watched Swallow. Really intense subject matter n scenes but I thought it was awesome.

Givin it a 9/10.  Had just a moment or two where the plot slipped a lil.

The harder they fall
9/10

Very entertaining, which is the point of a classic wild wild west style film.
Nice twist too.

Suck (2009)
8/10

I really enjoyed this one.  There are scenes in the movie that play out as music videos and are done really well, not to mention that the music isn't bad either.  It has many cast members from the music world including Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins as a jerk radio DJ, and Moby, of all people, playing a douche-bag Rob Halford front-man-type.  Also included is Malcolm McDowell as the Van Helsing-type character, and I feel his performance only solidifies his imprint in the cult movie world.  It is a fun ride.

Joker

10/10

A modern masterpiece, I think.
Todd Philips and Phoenix did a great collaboration and so this is the result.

It Happened On 5th Avenue (1947)
9/10

This was my first viewing and, in fact, I had never heard of it before.  My main squeeze has been on a Christmas movie kick and I decided to take a break from my addiction of playing Grim Dawn and give it a watch.  I was really impressed.  It is similar to It's A Wonderful Life in that the main character goes through a dynamic change, and you don't even realize that it is the main character until halfway through the film.  I don't understand how this wasn't a more publicized Christmas film.  Twas fantastic.

This new Guillermo del Toro movie Nightmare Alley is getting good, not great reviews. The cast has eight people I like so at some point I'll check it out, probably when it's free.

Hamlet (1996)  10/10

This was the Kenneth Branagh project, which he directed, adapted for the screen, and in which he starred as the title character. Unlike other film versions of the play, this movie is unabridged, with every single word from the original play being uttered. Also unlike other versions, this movie is about four hours long. (I watched it in more than one sitting). It's really excellent, and the acting, especially Branagh's, is mesmerizing. If you're a Shakespeare fan, I think this is surely one of the best cinematic versions of the play.

Spiderman: No Way Home      10/10

Wow, what a movie! So much happens during this long movie. Its quite the sight to see! I love how aspects from the older Spiderman movies comes into play in this movie. Its really unique and new! And I love Dr. Strange's role in the movie as well. I coined a term for how aspects of older movies are used in new ways: A Meta-movie. So many emotions felt too. There was even some psychedelic aspects as well. Easily one of my favorite films Ive seen.

The Matrix: Resurrections        10/10

Wow, again, what a movie! The first half of the movie is so disorientating. Very trippy and confusing, in a great way. Then in the last half, every comes together to a wild conclusion. And so many aspects from the older movies were used in this movie, just like Spiderman: No Way Home! Another Meta-Movie! I really enjoyed the acting, the arching plot and how the characters change. So well done. Another one of my new favorite films.
