Yeah. Saw the interview with Cage and should of rented it on blue-ray. It does look good. Have to be careful with his movies. Wanted another one on Redbox but no Deadpool 2. Popular on weekends which is no surprise.
Will watch something on Hulu or Showtime till morning.
A feel good movie. That Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson one. If I ever have kids like Frank Zappa said, peoples conditioned kids are boring, mine aren't going to be and he lived up to that promise.

God. What I would do with that sheet for personal use and not leaving my apartment for two weeks. I share your envy.
Trying to find a good movie to watch on Hulu and Showtime. Anyone have these at this time and a recommendation? Am on the way to getting fucked up and staying in this Saturday night so am open to a wide variety for anyone that cares to share.
Fuck it. Will make my way to a redbox and rent Mandy. Nobody where I live rents movies like that, Mormonville.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - 10/10
What the fuck. I'm blown away, and I've seen it before. What a monumental work of art! The score is something else too, I don't think it would have been anywhere near as effective or dramatic without the music. There was an intermission and they actually turned the lights back up for 10+ minutes while people recessed. The whole experience was trippy.
See in a nice theater if you can, it's out again this Wednesday.

The Godfather
10/10
Going through a bit of a Coppola phase right now, and it's quite nice. I have the Godfather sixth on my all-time list, and many film historians and critics put it at number one or two, with Citizen Kane there with it. Obviously, it's an essentially flawless and epic movie, and the various currents of its themes are poetic and mesmerizing. More of a film opera than a real-life depiction of the mafia, it's still probably the greatest mafia film ever made. Coppola really hit it with this one, truly a masterpiece.

Nice man. I agree with you on all points made above, especially the reference regarding the score. I too can't imagine the movie having anywhere near the same effect without it. A few years ago the city I live in had a couple showings on the big screen with a live orchestra. What I wouldn't pay to experience that, especially after dosing. Unfortunately, I was traveling that weekend. I REALLY hope they do it again in the not too distant future.

A beautifully shot and very thought provoking documentary. Mostly about Mountains and why we’re drawn to them. Killer soundtrack too.
Here’s the trailer

Sound design was impressive. Not just the music, but all the spooky stuff in there that's not music at all. Real hypnotic movie that sucks you in, this one. One of the greatest opening sequences ever:
Right when "A Stanley Kubrick Production" comes on the screen, that's intense. Going back to see this one.

Didn’t like 2 as much as 1, but Deniro was good as the young Vito Corleone.

The Godfather Part III
9/10
Pretty good, but clearly not in the same league as the previous two, especially the first, of course. I once read that Coppola had a finished script with a major part for Tom Hagen and was all set to shoot when Robert Duvall pulled out because a deal could not be made with the studio. The late rewrite clearly took something away from it, on top of which Sophia Coppola cannot act her way out of a brown paper bag. Still, it's a good movie, and finishes the story of Michael Corleone in a satisfactory way.
