Upgrade 9/10
Very fun, violent, gritty cyberpunk movie. Loved that it shows cutting edge tech making its way into society, not the fully immersed, everyone has tons of implants world like most cyberpunk movies.
The First Purge 8/10
Probably my favorite of the Purge movies. I actually kinda cared about the characters. It did lose one whole point for a rather stupid plot device used at the end though. Why did he have to shoot the explosive when earlier it was explained that it had a remote detonator? Oh yeah, more dramatic and gave the possibility of him being shot in the process..

Won't You be my Neighbor? 9/10 documentary about Mr. Rogers, great movie about a very interesting man, and feel-good without being self indulgent I thought

I'll have to check that out. I really liked Cage in Wild at Heart, Leaving Las Vegas, Lord of War and Joe.
Joe didn't get much attention. He plays a major player in the dregs of rural society who struggles to control his temper. His job is to run a work crew that kills trees (apparently illegally) so a wood or paper company can replant pines. Because the trees must be killed without drawing attention, the technology used is quite bizarre. I'll have to watch it again before deciding on an 8 or 9 rating.
Joe was fantastic! definitely a solid 9/10 for me.

The disaster artist(2017)- 6.5/10
Based on the behind-the-scenes making ov the notoriously bad movie The Room(2003). Mildly interesting and funny, it does'nt really offer much more than Franco's portrayal ov the mysterious Tommy Wiseau. With the exception ov old sci-fi, kung-fu, and movies with Jan-Michael Vincent in them, i'm not much ov a fan ov bad movies. I do however really love good low-budget movies with strong conviction behind them. I'd much rather see a movie ov this type portray a passionate artist reifying hir vision from little, rather than an ordinarily bizarre person turning gold to crap such as the case here. I do kind ov get it though, and it was funny in parts.

Really loved the first few seasons but like most series, they lost their mojo after awhile.
Breaking Bad, Sopranos, and The Wire are the only series that I think maintained their awesomeness or even got better with time.

From someplace online...
This series looks at the narcotics scene in Baltimore through the eyes of law enforcers as well as the drug dealers and users. Other facets of the city that are explored in the series are the government and bureaucracy, schools and the news media. The show was created by former police reporter David Simon, who also wrote many of the episodes.
Not only well acted and written, it all feels so real. I was not aware until now that the show was created by a former police reporter. Makes sense. It starts off a little slow but it’s worth hanging on until it starts picking up.

The Wire was kinda meh for me at some points, Season 3 and Season 5 in particular got slow for me, still good though. Overall it was a really great show, I just finished watching it a few weeks ago. My favourite thing about that whole series was how a lot of important/well-liked characters just got murked out of nowhere a lot of the time, so many jaw droppers for me.

Me and my GF have been binging hard on Orange is the New Black. Very addicting TV series. The best combo of drama, suspense, silly comedy, mystery, real life shit and provoking story telling. Loving it. Reminds me of Breaking Bad a lot with all the plot twists and cliffhangers.

Trick or Treat (1986) I've seen this movie several times, being that I have it on DVD. There's no two ways about it: it's a bad 80's low budget flick. However, there are the requisite tits for any 80's flick worth watching, there's the serious cheese factor, Gene Simmons plays a rock disc jockey, and Ozzy Osbourne plays an anti-rock music minister. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot: Fastway, a "Fast" Eddie Clarke (of Motörhead fame) band does the soundtrack. I was going to give it a 7.5, but I'm going to raise that to a solid 8.

Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil. This will be a cult classic eventually. Great writing, Canadian made, beautiful girl, funny buddy flick, not really a horror movie.

Yeah that was a good movie. Quite the curveball compared to every other slasher film.
Hold the Dark 7/10
I just read on wiki that the director from this movie, Jeremy Saulnier, is the same from Blue Ruin and Green Room. Big fan of this guy's work

Fun revenge flick. If Braveheart and Death Wish had a baby, Black '47 would be their child.
