God this made me laugh. One of those that you are bored sober, but fucked up is funny as hell. When the guy lights a joint when the murderers are looking for them and she keeps trying to blow out the lighter, then the woman starts smelling the pot was quite amusing to track them down.
Plus this guys drug collection, holy shit. And how it is packaged, amazing, and his views on life, "well if I am going to die in five minutes I want to go out smoking weed when she asks him, how can you smoke at a time like this? Found it amusing.

Mankind The Story of all of us 8/10
Not a movie but a multi episode documentary on amazon prime. Originally aired on the history channel.
I like it because it covers so much territory in a very efficient and entertaining way. It reminds me a lot of Bill Bryson’s History Of Nearly Everything.
Highly recommend checking it out if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Drag Me To Hell
10/10
i love this movie.
it's pitch perfect.
and the ending, the acting, the expression, is perfect.
it should be timeless, if only for the pitch being perfect.

Fallen
9/10
Quite nifty nineties movie by the guy who did Primal Fear. As you might expect, the final 20 minutes are very unpredictable. Anyone into demonology or the supernatural would definitely like it. A unique (and strong) movie experience, I have to recommend checking it out.

When You're Strange: A Film About the Doors
10/10
Great documentary about the Doors with a lot of footage and insight I had not encountered before. Can't miss if you're a Doors/Jim Morrison fan.

Pulp Fiction
8/10
I hadn't seen this movie since the nineties, when I was in my teens. It wasn't nearly as good this time. The movie relies almost entirely on dialogue, which did not seem as witty to me as before, leaving a wide gulf where content should be. In other words, a good film must have a marriage of content and style, and Pulp Fiction does not exhibit that, as it is all style. There are other Tarantino movies I like more, but I will say it is still a good movie, especially as it affected in a significant way many movies that came after it.

Just kidding. 8 outta 10 is still pretty good. Part of why it was so good when it cam out, IMO, is that it was so different from anything that had been done before.

That's quite true, and when I saw it in 1994, it seemed revolutionary. But almost a quarter century later, I can't help but see it with fresh eyes that detect its flaws.

I watched Pulp Fiction a few years ago and I didn't really like it that much. Everyone has always said its one of those 10/10 classic movies, idk, maybe I just don't get it or its not from my time? I'll watch again in the future, but I only remember the ending being really good.

Inglourious Basterds (sic)
10/10
This might be one of the most clever movies I've seen, and it could well be my favorite by Quentin Tarantino. A revised history of WWII, it's just a lot of fun. I also like getting to practice my French a little bit. Good movie.

Alpha in not believable in any sense but a beautiful movie. Life before electronics. How connected humanity in tribes and how many predators there were in caveman times. Don't think life was PG-13 like at the dawn of humanity.
