Definitely a ten. Not the only ten in my eyes though.

Taxi Driver: 10/10

I had seen it before, but felt I needed to watch it again. It was worth it

I didnt "get" that movie. I heard great things about it and was expecting to be amazed. Maybe I was too stoned?

I love Taxi Driver. Those opening scenes with all the street lights superimposed onto him while driving... down to just the way the film seems to be exposed. The color saturation... it's just awesome. Visually it's perfect. The story is a little strange but very engaging and interesting, to me. I'd give it a 10/10 also - one of my favorites. I think being stoned while watching it is a good thing.

I would respond but inflection does not show in print.  I would post "really" but you would think I meant something different.  It is a very good movie but my point, were we speaking, would be that it is an interesting choice to single out.  I wouldn't give it a 9 but I'm a cheapskate with ratings .

Here are my 9s that I can think of right now

Blazing Saddles
Animal House
Godfather 1
Alien
Taxi Driver
Big Fish

There are more nines but that's a good start.  If you haven't seen Big Fish I highly recommend it.  Oh, and Temple Grandin.  I watched it first airing and I was stunned.  I called my friend as soon as it ended and told her she just won an Emmy.  I was right.

Yes, I absolutely loved American History X. I think its the most powerful movie I've ever seen. Also, as always, an OUTSTANDING performance from Edward Norton

And yea, I watched a little bit of big fish on netflix, and it was magical to say the least. Don't know why I haven't watched the full thing, but I think I'm gunna tonight

Jupiter ascending

5/10

This movie has so much great potential. It was executed poorly.

I gave it a 5 instead of a 3 because mila kunis is an extremely attractive woman.

Norton is indeed one of the best actors working today.
I saw Big Fish in the theater with my daughter.  I had no idea what it was about but she wanted to see it because she loves Tim Burton.  It touched me.  Especially watching it with her

Ouija (3/10) Just another cheaply made horror movie with pretty bad acting. A lot of shock scenes that weren't scary at all. Was expecting a lot more given that the director of this movie also directed insidious.

Kung-Fury---7/10

this movie was exactly what i expected, and i loved it.  It didn't drag on with a long contrived story, so it was a short time investment that i would recomemmend to anyone who has nostalgia for Van Damme movies and the like.

The Botany of Desire---7/10

a little long, but i liked it.  There's some pretty interesting stuff here. If you enjoy botany or horticulture, or just documentaries in general, i would recommend seeing it.
