I really wanted to see Cloud Atlas, and still do! I hope its down at the library.
The last movie I saw was The Shining, I'm going to give it a 8/10 for the story and the scenery they were both superb. Also I'm a huge fan of Jack Nicholson.
You would think everyone would have seen it because its son famous but I've been putting it off for a long time now. I'm still not done with it. I have this habit of falling asleep when watching movies.

Blow
Great movie about The american cocaine smuggler George Jung. George was played by Johnny Depp so of coarse I loved it. The only thing about it was it was just like goodfellas but with cocaine and pot. Even George's father was the same guy who was the father from goodfellas so that was kinda funny. But still great movie, if you have not seen it watch it.
I give it a 9/10

Memory's Of A Geisha 8/10
The movie all in all, was amazing. It was a powerful and moving story with deep charters and wonderful cinematography. Also just the fact its about eastern cultures was a plus . I have always been into movies and really anything to do with that time period and culture.
The only real thing I disliked about the movie was the fact it was in English, and I know that sounds REALLY picky but hey, I'm a natural critic and if your going to make a movie about 20th century Japan it just would have been a nice touch to have the characters speak the native language.
On a side note I'm going to finish Lawrence of Arabia tonight, so far its a 9/10 for sure. Peter O'Toole is so full of whit it's magic.

Garden State
10/10
Nothing like a movie about finding yourself and love in the darkest places to give you a little hope for the future. Also the soundtrack features The Shins, Nick Drake and Simon and Garfunkel so whats not to love?

The movie was a tasteful and thought provoking exploration of individuals vs. authority. Rich with cosmic irony, fantastic acting and cinematography this movie is a MUST SEE!!!

The Lighthouse
7/10
Not what I expected and perhaps that’s why I found it underwhelming. Despite bribing up bold ideas and the potential to expand on them, it never really did. Visually stunning but leaves something to be desired narrative wise.

Uncut Gems 8/10
A frenetic and stimulating movie that captured the folly of always pushing limits and overvaluing the wrong things.
Enemy 7/10
An enjoyable movie, but personally felt like some of the imagery and general moods went over my head.

I like the actor a lot, but the orche filter fucked up the movie badly, like serioysly is like you are watching the world after pissing inside of pool glasses and then put them on your eyes.
We enjoyed more dicussing the "wtfs" of the movie than the movie itself.
Odd, I found the color palette chosen to assist in the general mood of the movie in a positive way. I did not understand the point of the erotic undertones, I felt like it was trying to say something but could also have been just there

A near perfect movie for me. Because it was pulsing with sexual tension, idealism and an important lesson.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer
9/10
Fantastic psychological horror movie. I also found that Yorgos Lanthimos somewhat deadpan delivery of the dialog, helped to build tension so that in the moments of emotional intensity they were all the more spectacular. The plot was intriguing, cinematography crisp and ideas terrifying.

Magnolia 6/10
Personally found slightly melodramatic. It was very ambitious but just was a little too obvious about it. However the acting and cinematography were stellar.
