Ok so being an electrician isn't a summer job...its a career. First, if you went to school and completed it they just hand you a $20000 slip of paper like here you go. That gives you nuffin in the real world well maybe more than GED or hd. Now you have to climb a ladder (literally and metaphorically) that 10000 other people are trying to climb over you just to get on. You have 0 experience, you basically cost me money to hire. There are people in the trade with years of experience laid-off. Its rough out there not as bad as it was but still rough. In my state it takes 2000 hours of registered on job apprenticing to be licensed and you have to take a test(test is easy mostly just code). Thats 40 hours a week 52 weeks a year for 4 years (and your lucky if you can find someone to hire and register you for 40 hr a week). Thats your collage. After that you can call yourself a licensed electrician...but also your now on the bottom rung of licensed electricians . That being said if your willing to do the hard work you will reap benifits...eventually...maybe. A+ also kinda means dick everyone A+ certified hell I'm A+ certified. But in the serious computer world it means you paid for a piece of paper everyone has to have. However, you could easily get a job at geeksquad or summthing with it though .

I understand that it's not a summer. Job I plan on working as one for at least eight years minimum. I don't expect a job right off the bat As the job market for the electrical field is not very good but is growing and will continue to grow at least that's what I have been told by several schools and electricians on websites. I'm not some lazy dumbass looking for a big paycheck and handouts nor do I expect them. If I get lucky enough to land a job once I graduate ill be happy. But thanks for your insight on that I like to hear the truth

Then go for it! Just remember when your starting out theres lit 100 people trying for that job. You gotta bring that extra to the table. But yeah if you work hard and have a descent head you could be really successful.
