First casing...overlay? uneven pinning.

Used BRF cakes for this casing. I didn't dunk them before crumbling them up, but none of the teks I read said to do that. used 50/50+ for casing. I went away for a few days and had my roommate update with pics but shit happened faster than I thought and when he took the foil off it looked like this. Right before I left a little bit of myc came to the surface so I patched it up and skipped town. 3 days later it looked like this.

So I immediately had him put in fruiting chamber w/perlite for humidification. Seems like one or two shrooms are pretty developed, a couple little pins, another shroom growing up the side, and nothing anywhere else. Did I wait too long to fruit? Am i fucked or is does this look ok?

all help appreciated, thanks!

Your right where you wanna be. Now that they have been put under fruiting conditions (light/FAE) they will explode in a few days.

Your ready to rock. They look damn near amazing, except for a couple wild-eye pinners...I'm sooo jealous, I tossed two of my first tubs ever yesterday and another two 5 minutes ago. The green fucker is taking over everything. IMO listen to those with experience. when they say trash tek anything with green/mold appearing and don't even waste your time trying to save it with indoor methods, They are right. Not to sidetrack your thread, just my two cents.
Again nice grow, If only.....
Cheers, please update with pics to ease my sorrows!!! GL

I'll be keeping an eye out man. Keep us updated on how it goes! Best of luck Don't forget to fan.
Cheers
p.s
Just a question to more experience mushroom growers, wouldn't the substrate be drying out quick? As the mushroom are trying to push out new bodies, but the cakes weren't dunked so they weren't hydrated? Maybe that's why only a couple of mushies pinned.
Don't listen to a word I'm saying though OP, I'm a complete beginner. I'm just putting out a question to the more experienced for yours and my own knowledge!

Ok I'm glad it seems so far so good. It just seems like some of the fruits are going to mature long before others, which is problematic considering it's best to harvest all of them within a 24 hr period.
In retrospect, I probably didn't take enough care to ensure that the substrate and casing layers were of consistent depth throughout, which may be why I'm having this problem.

Ok so i woke up this morning and one of the fruits' veil is about to break, and a couple others will be ready tomorrow probably...but there are a bunch of pins that are just breaking the surface of the casing. Since harvesting the fruit stresses the mycelium network, should i wait as long as possible to harvest the mature mushrooms? Is there any risk in waiting too long?

You can harvest them as far apart (in time) as you want, especially on bulk substrates. On cakes I've had a few times where harvesting one side of the cake would kinda halt the other side from growing, but I think this was more to do with banging the cake around.
I would not let those spores drop on your substrate.
EDIT: Some bins you will just have to pick every morning for a week.

So here's what my casing looks like now... check it out!!! At least for me, these are the two biggest mushrooms I've ever grown. Not too shabby for a noob right? One is 22.2g and the other is 32.7g. Not a ton of pins surfacing but a few showing promise. If a pin seems to have aborted, I should pick it off, right?

Golden Teacher, though they don't look like pics of other GTs I've seen. Possibly mislabeled.
