17 days and not 100% colonized

I have 8 jars that appear healthy with at least some growth in all of them. Some are growing faster then others but today is the 17th day since inoc. When I inoc I only put 8cc in 8 jars that were 50-75% full of WBS and I followed Doc T's method... Is there a way to speed this up...

Are you shaking the jars up and redistributing the grain?

if you used ms its gonna be slow to start but it will speed up. DO NOT shake jars after the initial inoculation. the spores will grow better if they are together just shake once when the jars are about 25% i believe is the rule but you may want a second opinion on that

Temps between 70-75 ish ambient would be best. I have jars that I knocked up 6 weeks ago that are just now finishing. It happens. I wish I knew why. I'll put my money on genetics...

Temps are normally around 70%... I dont bother them much and the myc looks healthy and white. no green or other signs of contam.. this is my first time with WBS so it doesn't surprise me that I'm havin issues. Also I used the tyvek lid method where you put tyvek on to protect from contams but to let gas exchange....

The strain was a discount special and a random strain. But it so packed with spores that there were huge black cloudes floating around in the syringe

Tyvek lid method huh? Can you throw up a pic? It's possible you have a bacterial infection or other contam, possibly due to bad filter or grains too wet, but wait for someone who knows what theyre talking about with contams chime in...

Yep, a trusted cultivator is usually the best source of information. I'm just a noob that takes a lot of notes. Especially from RR, RoadKill, TranscendingLife (though TL is not a trusted cultivator), BlueHelix, and a slew of others. Have you tried the search bar to see if anyone else has had a problem similar to yours? You can really narrow your search if you click that "search the forums" link first. Hope I'm more helpful than irritating.

There is no excess moisture anywhere in there. I soaked, rinsed, rinsed, rinsed, quick boil... pcd jars.... 24 hours later inoc jars... put on high shelf and left alone.. Followed Doc's Wild Bird Tek method to the T... Even went and bought a paint suit and used 1/4 bottle 70% iso alcohol all over my area to take care of any germs

They will take as long as they take unfortunately. If it is MS its gonna take a while. Do the shake thing once when its around 30% make sure to really break those chunks up. When they are done use 1 for G2G and it is a whole lot quicker.

Dude.... try this
or even this
or this
Anything but what you have there, IMO. I don't see that lid design being very good against contams.
