Once again, Dimitri was never charged. He was interviewed for a couple hours then released. Nobody has ever been charged with a drug offense related to Ibogaine. He recently did a special for HBO and for VICE in Mexico. It should air in a few months. Just two weeks ago he did two radio programs. Dimitri and I have mutual friends. I assure you, he is free and doing well.

I haven't seen it. But that Dimitri guy was in that show I watched. He was in the Iboga/Ibogaine part, and he administered Ibogaine to two young opiate addicts.
But I'm not doubting you or anything that he was in that, as well.

I have had Iboga before. Very unpleasant and wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Definatly not recreational and I wouldn't even recommend it to those looking to go down the shamanic route.

I went on an Iboga Journey 4 months ago in Costa Rica. I am fairly well-versed in psychedelics from peyote, mushrooms, ayahuasca, to obscure varieties. After taking Iboga I must say I can't even consider it a psychedelic because it goes so far beyond that. It showed me the truth not only about myself which you could argue is all in your subconscious, but the truth about other people and even glimpses of the future - detailed and quick flashes in succession which so far have all been true about specific events.
I was after a few hours of journeying cured of my depression (still to this day feeling amazing for first time in my life!) and then journeyed deeper to the spiritual world and pretty much just had the most blissful and powerful day of my life. I keep telling my friends that that night and the next day was the best day of my life.
It is important to do it with someone quite knowledgeable as I do not want to encourage irresponsible use. My friend in Florida bought Iboga extract after my amazing experience and took it on his own with a watcher. He had the worst 3 days of his life. He took too much, and felt like he was hit by a bus.
So I was lucky enough to be able to fly to Costa Rica and do it with a 10th generation Bwiti Shaman at Iboga House. I would highly recommend them because not only has he been doing this for decades from a long family tradition, but he has a lot of other ceremonies and herbs he uses (like a soul healing tea from the most sacred tree in Gabon which is also the biggest tree in central west Africa) which also kinda gets you high and free. He also guided me during my journey to do some amazing things and helped me let go of all fear. He tapped my third eye while my eyes were blindfolded and told me " tell me when you can see my finger"
after about 10 seconds i could see it hitting my forehead and then it went through my forehead and after that I could see the entire room....with my eyes closed and blindfold still on. Since that time I have had a lot of psychic moments, believe it or not.
I would highly recommend it to anyone with depression PTSD, ADD, or just an unclear head because I had a lot of all those and the depression and trauma are 100% gone and the ADD is about 70% gone after treatment.

I have received numerous letters from people he has stolen from, or sexually violated. He is known to give women Iboga, then have his way. He takes advantage of people who in the most desperate circumstances.

if that is true....
that "shaman" is a pathetic, worthless piece of shit. the lengths some people are willing to go to satisfy their own cravings for pleasure.... astound me. human beings that behave in that manner make the planet earth so much fucking worse on so many levels...makes me sick.

I just returned from a session with Patrick Moughena Mikala; I was very happy with my journey. One woman friend felt he was insensitive with her. Another woman friend had a wonderful experience a year ago. There were 2 other women in my group also happy.
But I am not dismissing these charges. I have read the posts on iboka.info. I would like to know more. Perhaps you can PM me or email me your info. I would like to be able to help people interested have the best possible journey.

I got off of 200mg of methadone with a treatment of Ibogaine(99.8% pure). Not a recreational substance, in fact, took me down a path I had never seen before. Unfortunately, because of a lack of funding, the Therapy House where I received the Ibogaine has closed. Very sad.

I am still waiting on my experience report back from the former staff, but I will describe it as accurately as I can remember or as one can understand.
I arrived at the Iboga Therapy House with only a little knowledge about Ibogaine(we only know a little bit about its action on the brain-more trials plz) and was greeted warmly by the facilitator(female). My brother and I both went in to get off of methadone(I was on 200mg/day, him 70mg/day)
Previously to this, we were informed that there are many contraindications with Ibogaine. Such as steroids, corticosteroids, low QT time, and many other things. We were both required to take a ECG and blood tests. I have asthma and I was required to abstain from it for weeks before arriving at the Iboga House. We even had to wait until we were going through slight withdrawals before consuming the Ibogaine because if one has opiates/other drugs of any type in their system the Ibogaine can cause an overdose by boosting the other substance substantially. Another effect is that tolerance to all drugs is shot down to ZERO after Ibogaine. She likened it to hitting a master reset on a computer.
Her mentor was Howard Lotsof, who discovered the anti-addiction properties of Ibogaine. She would tear up every time she brought him up. Such an amazing woman. Sh also has close ties with Fire and Air Erowid, and Alex/Allison Grey.
Anyway, we arrived to open arms from her, and then we talked, did a little ceremony, she weighed us, and then proceeded to administer a test dosage based on our weight, then she made us wait an hour to see if we had any allergy to the substance. After 20 minutes I was seeing the biggest tracers of my life! I was also quite stimulated.
After the hour had passed(during which we did a bit of smudging and an Intention Ceremony of sorts. We lit candles that burned for our whole trip(36hrs), then ingested a flood dose of Ibogaine. We felt it pretty quick, the ataxia was so intense that we had to be carried upstairs to our individual beds. They really followed the therapeutic model. Had a nurse and an EMT present for the first night, as well as a portable defibrillator in each room. They also administered some dimenhydrinate to prevent nausea, although, since I was on a very high dose of methadone, I also had to consume more Ibogaine and threw up 3 times. All of which were coincidentally due to trying to take my medication(clonazepam+clonadine) both of which dissolve very quickly and became chalky in my throat. I kept throwing up our booster doses of Ibogaine as well(which became quite costly-she inspected my vomit every time)
The trip started very heavily, I could NOT see with my eyes open unless I stayed completely still. I had a blue light that was present throughout my whole journey with my eyes closed. I did see things, but not in the typical psychedelic way, this was more like having a waking dream. My grandparents had passed away beforehand and they came to me, both holding hands and smiling. I also saw three blood red elephants fall off a cliff in succession, and I started balling my eyes out. Species extinction. The facilitator came up to check on me, and I started talking about the elephants. She was very kind started holding my hand and said to me "well you know, the elephants are very sad right now." I asked why? Then she proceeded to tell me that they are going extinct, being killed or dying off.
If I was to sum it up(sorry for the large post), I would have to say that it was a very spiritual experience. There were these lyrics that just kept repeating themselves over and over for me(Take another pill, tell another lie, lie amongst your lies, like tuna in the brine.) which had great meaning during the trip. I also experienced NO withdrawals during the experience and for days after I had a lot of heightened emotions. Lots of crying, lots of talking, lots of euphoria, they called it the iboglo! Another cool thing is that Ibogaine has an active metabolite(natural anti-craving/antidepressant) that can stick around in ones system for months.
