syringe nessasary?

If i PC grain, then(working in a glovebox) scrape spores off a print into the jars, would this work? would contams be an issue if i worked in a very clean room, inside a glovebox? What about if i PC a karo tek jar, then scraped spores into it, then let it get some liquid myc, and then inside the GB pour a little of the karo stuff into grain jars? any ideas, i need to make this work w/o syringe

Iive heard spores need water to germinate, and syringes do this. If you are sterile, and do it right, it might work. Only one way to find out. :laugh:

is soaked and PC'ed grain moist enough to get spores to germinate..?

yes it will just take a little longer to rehydrate the spores

Were you going to scrape them in before you put on a top verm layer?

I'm not sure but I would have thought the spores might be blocked by the verm.

i was going to do PF jars... infact I have all the stuff for it, but the verm layer would be an issue like u said... which is why I asked about grains : )

why dont you use a syringe? cuse you dont have one? if so i use the big old one for a flavor injector for barb-q from homedepot here

yes it works i modified the needle alittle bit cause there is two holes in the end i cut the higher up hole on a angle you will see when you get it

My friend has had success scraping a print into the jar. Be sure to use a sterile tool to scrape. He PC'd a seperate jar of straight verm along with the substrate. After the substrate was inoculated and shaken the straight verm was poured on top. This method is definately more open to contams so be careful.
