Hi all, I live just out of perth W.A. and went for a bit of a hunt around mundaring weir just out of perth no results obviously not enough rain. I was looking out mostly for p. subs.But ive read Gym. purpuratus live in WA can anyone tell me what type of envionment they like what about Ps.Eucalypta could you find them here? Has any one ever hunted 4 new species in West aust what could we find .??? Also what species are blue meanies and can someone post pics. Thanks

There are, but they aint replying. You will find Ps.Subaeruginosa (var.Australiana) and gyms as well. You may also find COpelandia Cyanescens (bluemeanies) and cubies up north.

Thanx bluemeanie those Cyanescens (bluemeanies) look very much like the subs and every other aussie shroom Ive seen exept the gymnopolis and the cubies. Are p.subs refered to as blue meanies?

Ps.Cyanescens are different to COpelandia cyanescens which are bluemeanies - small whiteish grey mushrooms found in manure/manured soils. P.subs are usually calls subs, coppertops or saucers

My new avatar is the Ps.Cyanescens and boy do they look exactly like the bailingup subs. Mesq told me the bailingup shrooms are subs i dunno but I will get some photos soon 4 every 1. Trev
