Draft is very close now, anyone have any predictions or wishlists for their respective teams? I am sure there are gonna be some draft picks that you wont agree with and some you'll like. Lets talk shop

Broncos need a RB and a DT. Which means they will draft a CB and QB.

the saints need CBs.... oh wait, we got screwed out of all our draft picks. nevermind.

This is probably one of my favorite drafts in recent memory. I think their is a lot of quality players are several positions; QB, WR, CB, and LB's.
I think my Cowboys will take either Poe the DT, or Barron the SS. I dont really know much about either player but I would rather have Barron cause we need a SS. Or I really like Dre Kirkpatrick the CB from Bama.
I have one of my very good friends in this years draft. He is projected to be a 5th-6th round guy. He comes out of MSU and leaves with the schools record for receptions all-time. Whoever gets him is going to get a great young man with tons of potential.
I am also interested to see where some of my ASU guys go like Brock Osweiler and Vontez Burfit. I believer Omar Bolden is also in this draft. I would LOVE to see my Cowboys target him in the 3rd-4th round if he is still available.
Wouldnt mind taking a chance on a young QB since this draft is stacked. If I had to pick a guy, I would go with Kirk Cousins. He will be available late and he comes with lots of game experience and taking a Michigan State team that sucked before him and made them a Big 10 contender.

Pittsburgh Steelers' strongest draft needs:
Offensive Guard: Just let go of Chris Kemouatu. They need a good interior lineman to help complement Markice Pouncey, whose been an amazing draft pick. (You don't see rookie offensive linemen make Pro Bowls in their first seasons very often).
Nose Tackle: Chris Hoke, the solid backup just retired. Casey Hampton is starting to get up there in age. If a significant talent drops to them at this position, they will definitely take it.
Less vital needs:
Middle Linebacker: Just let go of James Farrior. I think Stevenson Sylvester will perform will if given more playing time. But they can't trust Larry Foote to be that dominant of a force to complement Lawrence Timmons in the inside.
Cornerback: Just let go of William Gay. Ike Taylor is still very good, but aside from him they just don't have alot of impressive options. Keenan Lewis is showing some promise, but they've pretty much given up on Bryant McFadden being as good as he once was.
Kevin Colbert is arguably one of the best GMs in the NFL. He's made alot of home-run picks in the 1st round since he took over the GM position about a decade ago.
First Round draft picks since 2000:
Plaxico Burress Casey Hampton Kendall Simmons Troy Polamalu Ben Roethlisburger Heath Miller Santonio Holmes Lawrence Timmons Rashard Mendenhall Evander Hood Markice Pouncey Cameron Heyward
Aside from the significant role-players, 8 of the previous 12 first round picks have made multiple Pro-Bowls. That's a pretty damn good batting average for first round picks.

i know, right?
for us football fans, with our long-ass offseasons, this is like the one major thing to look forward to.
I dont think any other sport makes as big of a deal about their professional draft as the NFL.
GL to your Cowboys. Hope someone great drops to Pittsburgh as well heh.

Oh, dont get me started on the NBA draft. It's going to be stacked. Check this shit out, Cavaliers have rookie of the year Kyrie Irving who is like a Derrick Rose-caliber player. Now, we are getting another lottery pick + a pick from the Lakers which should be somewhere between 24-28th overall.
Then in the 2nd round, we get 2 picks in the top 10-12 picks.
We're in a great position to put at least 2-3 great players around our rookie.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks, considering we have needs all over the field simply taking the best available seems the best option for us. Although I think we open the draft targeting secondary help, use the middle for some OL and a cornerback (or SS), finish with a couple skill guys
Pittsburgh has a record of drafting well. I am sure they will make another safe pick

Morris Claiborne, you happy with that one?
I really have no idea what the Cowboys are up to.

Wow there's still alot of high quality offensive linemen who haven't been picked, and Pittsburgh is up in about 5 more picks. That would be AMAZING if they can get David DeCastro...Even Cordy Glenn would be nice.

I can't believe they got David DeCastro. That is HUGE. How the heck he fell that far, I really have no idea.
I mean I get that most teams in the top 10 dont like to use picks that high on Offensive Guards. But beyond that, he should've been picked sooner.
DeCastro is going to be an immediate starter, and likely a multiple Pro Bowler.

Pretty happy with getting Claiborne, he should be a nice lockdown corner to put opposite of Brandon Carr and with Mike Jenkins

I think the Jets fucked up bad. Coples they could've traded down to get, and Ingram was still on the board.
It looks like Dallas' pick is the story of the day.

what the fuck were the browns thinking? wasting all those picks to move up one spot? I admit in the offseason i dont follow the NFL a tenth as close as i do in the regular season... but dont they have peyton hillis still?
i realize that tampa was trying to get that pick from the vikings, and as a saints fan, i am happy that the browns decided to give up a 4th,5th and 7th round pick to move up 1 spot.... but if i was a browns fan I would be pissed. especially since blackmon was still on the board.
I think Blackmon is the prize of this entire draft (offensive). I think RG3 is going to be a slightly better jamarcus and luck will eventually become an elite QB after 4-5 years of basically owning a team to do whatever he wants with. but blackmon is going to come out as a beast... even with Blaine throwing to him. in fact, gabbert might actually be a decent backup qb for fantasy this year that you could grab off undrafted this year. also mike thomas's stock just went up IMO.
