my neighbor's pet rabbit just found a nice cutting of an unknown female cannibus plant (~5 inches tall). He transplanted the plant out of a 3 in pot to a 6 in pot a couple days ago and it's doing great. The rabbit doesn't really want to buy grow lights, however he is wondering if he can grow buds by just keeping the plant on his sunny back porch and watering when the soil is dry....by the way the zone is on the border of 5 and 6.
The rabbit really loves to nibble on buds so he would like to have your input...

U'll get buds... Might not be the best.. Or that much..
You should trim it tho.. I like makin em into small bushes.. instead of tall fuckers.. Just cut the plant in half when its around 3.5' tall or so..
Im sure there is much better ways and good tecs out there tho..

Don't top the plant unless you have height problems... it just slows growth. Keep it in a nice size pot so it won't root bind.
But I don't realy know much about outdoor grows. Check this site.

plant them at the most sunny place there  Water every 3 days and plant in a big pot.

marijuana grows awesome outside you should be fine. make sure to fertilize it tho. go to overgrow to get the specifics on the different kinds of ferts. peace

u need at least 12 hours of direct sunlight a day through most of the process to have optimized yeilds

I suggest super cropping to maximize your yield. Tie the plant over so the main growth tip is bent 90 degrees. Leave it there for around 7 days then untie the plant. This will cause the new growth tips to form from some nodes.

The rabbit decided to put the pot amidst lilac bushes/shrubs/trees/whatever. The rationale for the rabbit doing this is because there are an abundance of plants that are doing well under the filtered light of the lilac leaves and branches. The rabbit's garden loving spouse called these plants "groundcover" but she doesn't know the species.
What are some good indicators that the rabbit's plant is getting enough sunlight?

good healthy growth. weed can be alot of different shades of green so dont worry if its dark or if its light. the main thing is that its all healthy. it should grow fairly fast also. thats about it. peace
