I have some cakes that have been in jars for over a month now. They've been fully colonized for quite a while.
I just don't have place for them yet, since my FC is full right now.
If this works good, I might leave them in the jars for another few weeks

Sadly, the cake died 
I went to pick it up today, as I saw no changes whatsoever (not even contamination), and when I went to pick it up, it turned to mush in my hand.
I guess being over 4 months old and dry as a cork by the time it was birthed was just a little too much for it.
