I get the sense that he provided a lot of the stage energy for the Dead. What I mean by this is that he was very energetic with his singing and playing-lots of physical movement-whereas Jerry was more laid back and didn't move around that much. You kinda need both sides to make it work IMO, and it sure did.

Alright, now a question: What is your favorite Bob Weir song?
Should we differentiate between the ones Hunter wrote the lyrics for and the ones Weir/other did? There are a few songs in which Hunter wrote lyrics for Bob's songs (Jack Straw and Playin' come to mind). Anyways some favorite Bob songs of mine are:
Estimated Prophet Cassidy BlackThroated Wind Lazy Lightning WRS Jack Straw
In no particular order and most likely missing a bunch of real good ones.
Actually I forget why I ever even ask people for a favorite Dead song...'cause there is no way in hell I could pick one, why do I ask others to?

My favorites would be:
Jack Straw Sugar Magnolia Cassidy Samson and Delilah New Minglewood Blues (from Dead Set, and the original New, New Minglewood Blues from the debut album) The Race is On Monkey and the Engineer
No particular order.
