shroom grow help

I started a batch two weeks and a half ago.. mycelium srarted to grow on top of the 3cc jars.. is that good. I've inoculated 12 jars 2 of them 2cc 2 other 3cc the rest got 1.5cc. But they are all growing at the same rate other than 1 of the 2cc jars.. they are in my closet coverd with a black trash bag and in a igloo container with a hole for air exchange on top. I've got pics on my profile of the jars. Its also at a 70-75 degree tempature at all times. Any advice.

take them out of the trash bag, myc benefits from a light schedule in all stages...just indirect light during colonization, just put them in an upper closet shelf or something

Pf tek? I'd throw micro pore tape over the holes if myc is growing on top. It might help, and won't hurt.

Yeah you'll definitely have a fun time getting the cakes out. You'll either have to crumble up the cakes and case them, which won't really hurt much. It will just take a little longer, for the mycelium will have to spend some energy healing itself.
You could also just say "fuck it" and just break the jar open like a perverbial piggy bank haha.
Just for future reference use shoulderless wide mouth 1/2 pint jars. They really do the trick as far as the PF tek goes because you can just plop the cakes right out.
Good luck! Hope I helped.

Well, it depends on what you decide to do. Crumbling and casing it will render the cake, well, not so cakey.
Breaking the glass won't hurt anything if you do it carefully. It may bruise the cake, but you should be more worried about cutting yourself.
Just research on the topic some. I'll be watching!

I used to use tall 1/2 pints and never had a problem getting them out. Just put a plastic bowl on counter, and gently slam the open end of jar onto it. Cake will come out, and verm will fall into bowl.

...Which is the way it's suppose to be done, but OP didn't get shoulderless jars, and consequently will not be able to just pop the cake out.

Im geting close to birthing. And i was thinking in my terrerium. Im gona use a igloo container with drill holes and damp perlite then after my flushes are done im gona take the pattys outside and re flush outside by using cow dung and straw in a 6"hole.. you guys think this would work. And what do everyone think about the terrerium. Think its enough humidity with the perlite.. and any good way to keep the tempature in a leveled tempature inside..

From what I've researched a sterilite container is optimal if you are looking into making a SGFC, but I see no reason why the igloo container wouldn't work right. As far as the outside flush goes there is bound to be a post somewhere on the forum answering your question. Try the search engine. You'd be surprised at the amount of people who have the same questions as you.
Just be sure not to bump a dead thread...

I think you'll be fine.
I just wanted to add that lol
They dont look tapered or whatever but you notice they are upon close inspection
